[00:00:02] Welcome to the Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly.

[00:00:10] Okay, here we go. Episode number 81. Moving right along. We're getting closer and closer. We should do something special for number 100. In just 19 weeks.

[00:00:18] Or eight, twelve, seven, eight. Oh gosh, it'll be here before we know it. It's like five months, four months. Okay, now that sounds a lot longer. So.

[00:00:28] All right, let's kick it off with a bunch of thank yous, right? Yeah, we should.

[00:00:32] After the great light debacle and the trees only got half the amount of lights on it, but that's okay. It still looks gorgeous.

[00:00:39] And we're so grateful to everybody that helped make that very cold event happen. And those of you that braved the cold, I was at 25 degrees out or something.

[00:00:47] It was chilly. The hot chocolate helped. Yeah, it did. Chicken sandwiches too. The spicy chicken sandwich.

[00:00:53] Gave me a little, uh, a little fuel. Thanks, Chick-fil-A. I know. Yeah, absolutely.

[00:00:58] So, uh, we've mentioned everyone before and we'll put them up again. Um, mention everyone again, but thank you everyone to, uh, second annual tree lighting.

[00:01:07] And we'll see what the future holds and maybe we'll do it again. I don't know. We'll see.

[00:01:10] Yeah, yeah. Right?

[00:01:11] Uh, now that Thanksgiving is out of the way and our tree is now lit, uh, wanted to shout out Manzo Sports and Spirits who has all their Christmas lights set up for their, uh, I call it a Christmas holiday pop-up bar with all those twinkly lights.

[00:01:24] They have it throughout the year, but they add even more Christmas lights. So if you have a chance, you can pop in there and I got, uh, Christmas, it looked like Christmas threw up in there.

[00:01:35] That is, it looks great. I, and the more lights, the better. I mean, it looks really good. So, and, uh, let's see what else we got going on.

[00:01:42] Um, also check out Niner's Diner. I mean, a couple doors down. 25 drinks of Christmas. Oh my goodness. But don't do them all at one time, please.

[00:01:52] So stop in a couple of times. Don't forget they have the igloo out there too. You can even do that.

[00:01:56] So they have kicked off all of their Christmas drinks and literally there's 25 different ones. So which one, which one looks good to you?

[00:02:03] Uh, well, obviously Thirsty Dog, 12 Dogs at Christmas Ale is one of my favorite Christmas ales.

[00:02:09] Um, some of those, uh, the Coquito. I haven't had theirs, but, uh, I have had a Coquito, but, uh, those are good.

[00:02:17] I'm thinking the Holiday Mule.

[00:02:20] Mule? Yeah.

[00:02:21] Yeah, Mule. A good, I love it. Yeah, a good one. Those, of those sets.

[00:02:25] And the Cookie Dough Express Martini. Espresso Martini.

[00:02:30] Those are going to be my, my choices right there, but stop in and check them out too.

[00:02:35] Uh, they're ready to celebrate with you guys.

[00:02:37] Yeah. And, uh, here was a post from Feeding Medina County. We got some, uh, December food distributions coming up.

[00:02:43] The next one is in Brunswick here, uh, Thursday, December 12th, right at Grace Baptist Church.

[00:02:49] If you're in need, you can stop by there.

[00:02:51] And then there's some other ones later on in the month on the 18th and 19th in Wadsworth and Medina.

[00:02:56] And remember, we do have those, um, blessing boxes here in Brunswick.

[00:03:00] One of them has food and the other one has, uh, personal hygiene supplies.

[00:03:03] So, if you're in need, those are. Yeah. Hopefully in the new year, we'll get a couple more of those up.

[00:03:07] But, uh, in the meantime, those are available 24-7.

[00:03:10] So, don't forget, uh, one is at the Brunswick Hills Police Station.

[00:03:13] That's the one with food in it.

[00:03:14] And then the other one is at, uh, Brunswick Methodist Church on the corner of 42 and Pearl.

[00:03:19] So, or 42 and 303.

[00:03:21] Oh, my goodness.

[00:03:22] Um, and then speaking of helping out those in need, a very generous resident, um, is going to match all monetary and gift card donations for a couple more days until December 10th.

[00:03:34] So, you have until about the 10th of December to help the Brunswick Food Pantry.

[00:03:38] And, again, this, uh, generous resident is going to match the donations up to $1,000.

[00:03:44] There's several ways to give.

[00:03:46] You can drop it off over at Fairtrade.

[00:03:48] You can mail it in.

[00:03:50] And the address is right there, E35 Pearl Road.

[00:03:53] And, um, there's also electronic option if you go to, um, you know, you're from Brunswick If Page.

[00:03:59] You can find the electronic option.

[00:04:00] So, the donors set that up.

[00:04:02] I know this is a time of year when everybody is asking.

[00:04:05] Everybody has their hands out.

[00:04:06] There's so many causes and agencies and stuff like that to give to you that are asking for money right now.

[00:04:11] But, um, this is our, our Brunswick, uh, staple that's been in town for a long time.

[00:04:16] And if you just have a few bucks that you could throw their way, then it'll be a good time to do it so we can do that, uh, match for that donor.

[00:04:23] Indeed.

[00:04:24] And, uh, thank you for, uh, doing that for the community matching that donation.

[00:04:29] If anonymous.

[00:04:29] Uh, let's head over to Roger at Houndstown.

[00:04:32] We got a, uh, dog of the week.

[00:04:33] Jinx.

[00:04:34] Alrighty.

[00:04:36] Hey, everybody.

[00:04:37] It's Roger at Houndstown.

[00:04:39] Hopefully you've had a great week.

[00:04:40] Um, we have Jinx with us this week, uh, from Brea Animal Rescue.

[00:04:45] He is a seven-month-old mixed breed.

[00:04:47] He's done fantastic, uh, since coming in.

[00:04:51] Um, he is younger and, uh, a little over 30 pounds, but, uh, full of energy and definitely has had a good time interacting with the different pups that we've put him with.

[00:05:02] Um, he is up for adoption.

[00:05:04] If you'd like to, um, set up a meet and greet, please give us a call here at 330-460-3052.

[00:05:11] You can also see more information on him, both on our, um, Houndstown Cleveland Brunswick Facebook page, or you can go to the Brea Animal Rescue site and not only see pictures of Jinx, but all the other dogs and cats that they have up for adoption.

[00:05:25] Lastly, final reminder, this Saturday, um, December 7th, we have Pictures with Santa.

[00:05:32] Um, this is for, uh, any and all pups in the Brunswick area.

[00:05:37] You do not have to be an existing customer of ours.

[00:05:41] You can bring your pup in.

[00:05:42] There is, um, a $10 suggested donation.

[00:05:46] You can find all of the information, again, on our Facebook page.

[00:05:50] Um, we do highly suggest pre-registry, but you can come in on Saturday, again, between the hours of 10 and 2.

[00:05:58] Um, and if you don't pre-register, you can sign up and we can get that done.

[00:06:02] This is for pictures with your pups.

[00:06:03] You can just do pup-only pictures or you can do entire family photos.

[00:06:08] It's also a great time for anybody who has not been to our facility before.

[00:06:12] If you want to come in and, um, check us out, we'll be able to, uh, tell you a little bit about our facility while you're here.

[00:06:18] Um, we have a donation table.

[00:06:21] I'm raising funds for Rescue Me Possum style, um, and what they do.

[00:06:25] And we look forward to hopefully seeing a lot of people on Saturday.

[00:06:29] Hopefully everybody has a great weekend.

[00:06:31] Take care, and I'll be back at you next week.

[00:06:35] All right.

[00:06:35] So if you're interested in Jinx, give, uh, Roger at Houndstown or Brea Animal Rescue a call.

[00:06:41] Moving right along into things to do in the 212.

[00:06:44] There's a lot of them.

[00:06:45] Yeah.

[00:06:45] A lot of them.

[00:06:46] So let's get at it.

[00:06:47] What do you got first?

[00:06:48] Uh, first up is Poker Night at Havana Choice Cigar Brunswick.

[00:06:51] And that is Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.

[00:06:54] It's a $100 buy-in.

[00:06:55] It includes $3,000 in chips, food voucher for the Cleveland Dog House, incidentals like cups, ice, etc.

[00:07:02] Uh, I believe it is, uh, bring your own beverage and, uh, good to be, sounds to be a good time.

[00:07:07] And it looks like they're going to have a couple of those.

[00:07:09] So if you can't make the first one December 6th, they'll have another one January, February, like every month practically.

[00:07:14] Yeah.

[00:07:14] I think they're going to have one.

[00:07:15] So, uh, check them out over at, uh, Havana's Choice Cigars.

[00:07:20] Good stuff.

[00:07:20] Yeah.

[00:07:21] Absolutely.

[00:07:22] Um, speaking of good stuff, live music, the Charles Guile and his Ghost Band will be over at Red Wagon Brewing Company, Red Wagon Farm, whatever you'd like to call it.

[00:07:31] And that is coming up, uh, tomorrow night at six o'clock.

[00:07:35] So check them out.

[00:07:36] Starts again, six to nine tomorrow night, ringing in December at the brewery with Charles Guile and his Ghost Band.

[00:07:42] Mm-hmm.

[00:07:43] And, uh, same night, 8 p.m. till 1 a.m., T&P Karaoke Night over at Brunswick VFW, located on South Carpenter.

[00:07:51] That's a Friday night as well.

[00:07:53] And then on Saturday, make sure you stop by the rec center because there'll be over 150 tables of shopping as the Brunswick Kiwanis bring you their 14th annual Christmas craft fair.

[00:08:03] From 10 to 3, again, that's over at the rec center.

[00:08:05] So make sure you stop up.

[00:08:06] There's absolutely something for everyone and almost everything is handmade.

[00:08:09] And there'll be a lot of bakery and chocolates and just your, your shopping list will be taken care of in one stop.

[00:08:15] I promise you.

[00:08:16] So.

[00:08:17] 10 to 1130 a.m. this Saturday over at Tangled Vine.

[00:08:21] I prefer my tea hot, but they're having a frozen tea party.

[00:08:25] I'm not sure how you're going to drink it frozen, but, uh, oh, frozen the movie.

[00:08:30] Yeah, the frozen thing.

[00:08:31] All right.

[00:08:32] There it says.

[00:08:32] Yeah, there you go.

[00:08:34] Uh, tickets.

[00:08:50] Check out their Facebook page for tickets.

[00:08:52] And don't forget Saturday from 10 to 2 is Santa's Paws Pictures with Santa.

[00:08:58] And that is over at Houndstown.

[00:08:59] And there is a suggested donation of $10 per family.

[00:09:03] And that does go to a local shelter.

[00:09:05] They are raising money for Rescue Me, Pawsome style.

[00:09:08] That's cute.

[00:09:09] Um, you can register ahead time or just show up.

[00:09:12] And again, suggested donation is $10.

[00:09:14] And then also Saturday from 3 to 4.30 is Christmas in Columbia.

[00:09:18] That is a live Christmas music performed by groups from around their community with refreshments afterwards.

[00:09:24] Um, they'll take up a collection for their personal care pantry.

[00:09:28] Uh, their most needed items are toilet paper, paper towel, bleach, laundry soap, and outdoor trash bags.

[00:09:32] And then, of course, they'll take monetary donations.

[00:09:35] That is at 13485 West River Road, Faith Walk Church and Hosanna Lutheran Church.

[00:09:41] They're just north of Route 82 on West River Road.

[00:09:44] And heading back over to Manzo's while you check out their lights, Saturday night at 8.30, you can check out the Stats Brothers Band.

[00:09:52] Um, again, that's at Manzo's this Saturday, 8.30.

[00:09:56] Mm-hmm.

[00:09:56] And moving on into Sunday, 11 a.m. till 3 p.m., there's a Christmas holiday vendor fair at Tangled Vine.

[00:10:03] Shopping, shopping, shopping.

[00:11:56] Why am I excited?
