[00:00:00] Welcome to The Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly.

[00:00:30] Thank you.

[00:00:31] Yeah, only three teams of Medina County history have scored more points and only one team

[00:00:35] has won more games than this team that's going on to take on St. Ignatius and Masle and

[00:00:40] Jackson game at 7 p.m. tonight.

[00:00:42] Right, right?

[00:00:43] The next center, Kent.

[00:00:44] Good luck to them.

[00:00:45] Go Big Blue.

[00:00:46] Some big decisions going on in Brunswick Hills.

[00:00:51] The Red Onion.

[00:00:52] You thought it was like red onion.

[00:00:56] The Red Onion has blackberry crown royal.

[00:00:58] I just as many of the places around Brunswick, you may have peach crown royal and regular

[00:01:03] crown royal and apple crown royal.

[00:01:04] I just thought that would throw that in there because it's funny.

[00:01:07] Yeah, that's our big decision.

[00:01:10] It was a big decision being made for the county.

[00:01:13] The county commissioners decided to pass a resolution that creates and improves a landbank

[00:01:19] for everybody who doesn't know a landbank.

[00:01:21] This is distressed and de vacant property to save for future use for county or for redevelopment.

[00:01:29] They also take donations of property.

[00:01:32] Many counties have this.

[00:01:33] Medina has not had it up until this point.

[00:01:36] Expect them to be acquiring properties and finding ways to save or use them in the future.

[00:01:42] It's just a way to redevelop.

[00:01:44] Tell me, yeah.

[00:01:45] If you listen to this show, you can learn something new every week.

[00:01:48] I didn't know that.

[00:01:49] Well, good stuff.

[00:01:50] So speaking of good stuff, Attilius, celebrating 31 years in business.

[00:01:56] So they're doing some specials all month long.

[00:01:58] So check out their Facebook page and happy 31st to Attilius.

[00:02:02] It's a long time.

[00:02:03] I wonder if they're in the top 10 longest businesses in Brunswick.

[00:02:06] But they could be.

[00:02:07] Oh, now there's some homework for you.

[00:02:14] Well, now I have some free time because I went and did my city taxes earlier this week.

[00:02:17] We're very friendly.

[00:02:19] You only took a short amount of time to get it done for me.

[00:02:22] I do my own taxes, but city taxes.

[00:02:24] I don't know.

[00:02:25] I leave it up to them.

[00:02:26] They have some special hours coming up because we only have about a month ago before you

[00:02:29] have to get those turned in.

[00:02:31] So Saturday, April 6th, they're open 9 a.m. till noon and Saturday, April 13th.

[00:02:35] They'll also be open 9 a.m. till noon.

[00:02:37] And of course, they're open during the week.

[00:02:39] Remember, the closer you get to the deadline, the likelihood that you may have to wait longer.

[00:02:43] Today there was no wait.

[00:02:44] Nice.

[00:02:45] I can't relate to that.

[00:02:46] Living in the township.

[00:02:47] No.

[00:02:48] No.

[00:02:49] I will tell us about this book and a bike here.

[00:02:51] Oh, the Bedina County District Library introduced book bike.

[00:02:55] They're looking for names.

[00:02:56] You can submit entries on the Bedina County District Library website.

[00:02:59] The book mobile is currently down so they've purchased the bicycle and a little

[00:03:04] tart to transport the books around.

[00:03:07] So you may see that.

[00:03:08] I like one of them here as paddles for pages.

[00:03:10] That was kind of cool.

[00:03:11] Mm-hmm.

[00:03:12] Any other good ones?

[00:03:13] No wheels?

[00:03:14] Not bad.

[00:03:15] Not bad.

[00:03:16] Read a ride.

[00:03:17] Not bad.

[00:03:18] Bookie, make book face.

[00:03:20] All right.

[00:03:23] Well, and that's story on that note, I guess, and move along to the next one.

[00:03:28] Let's see that around in the summer.

[00:03:31] I'm sure.

[00:03:32] Brad Hoffman gave us a little update on his construction.

[00:03:35] Sneak peak number two, he called it coming together.

[00:03:37] Looks like he's got the bays ready for all the mulch and stone and other stuff.

[00:03:41] He intends to sell there on that property next to Rosades.

[00:03:45] I did see somebody sampling Rosades custard earlier this week, so I think the dates

[00:03:50] come and say, yeah, I think it's coming soon.

[00:03:52] They didn't ask us?

[00:03:54] They did that.

[00:03:55] Maybe it's a soft soft opening.

[00:03:56] Maybe they're just installing the machines.

[00:03:58] I don't know.

[00:03:59] I'm sure we'll be great.

[00:04:00] I don't want to be that taste, or I want to be there when you're ready.

[00:04:04] Right.

[00:04:05] I think it's a kind of updates the vineyard by architectural justice is posted some really

[00:04:10] cool videos there.

[00:04:11] Looks like they're working by by spotlight here with one of the cranes and stuff, but well underway.

[00:04:18] That's a huge machine.

[00:04:19] No time getting to it.

[00:04:20] Yeah.

[00:04:21] Yeah.

[00:04:22] And I saw that their man made lake is complete.

[00:04:24] Good those views in that video.

[00:04:25] Just the views in that video.

[00:04:26] Yeah, that's going to be a beautiful, beautiful spot to see.

[00:04:29] Oh my gosh.

[00:04:30] It's going to be amazing.

[00:04:31] Absolutely amazing.

[00:04:32] So we have a construction theme.

[00:04:35] Why don't you update us on that one?

[00:04:37] Demolition of Towsley and Willett School is expected to begin very soon.

[00:04:41] The Towsley demolition will make way for the future Brunswick High School, and Willett's

[00:04:46] is going to make way for the Board of Education office and the maintenance department.

[00:04:51] So we can expect that very soon.

[00:04:53] And they also said that they're going to have a meeting for the community on May 1st

[00:04:57] to go over a little more information about the high school, the design.

[00:05:00] And I think there's some last input on what the outside should look like.

[00:05:04] Oh, very nice.

[00:05:05] We'll look forward to that.

[00:05:07] So on a set note, we do have a closing to announce this week.

[00:05:12] Shop vintage loft is going to be closing their doors.

[00:05:15] They've been honored.

[00:05:16] It says to serve as your go to antique store and be grateful for the support and friendship over the years.

[00:05:21] But they will be closing so watch their page.

[00:05:24] They'll be running some specials and stuff like that.

[00:05:27] But I think there's maybe some other plans already for a new business moving in there.

[00:05:30] So we'll keep our eyes on that.

[00:05:32] But pick them out, give them some love as they get ready to embark on a new journey.

[00:05:37] Yeah, that's too bad.

[00:05:38] Hey, we got a message from Homestown.

[00:05:41] Roger over there.

[00:05:42] He wanted to update us on what dog he had over there for adoption from the Brea Animal Rescue.

[00:05:48] Let's hear what he's got right now.

[00:05:51] Hey guys, it's Roger from Homestown.

[00:05:53] Just wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for your support of letting the community know about the adoptions that we're trying to help Brea Animal Rescue with.

[00:06:01] We've got Iyumi with us right now.

[00:06:03] Iyumi will be heading back to Brea Animal Rescue on Friday afternoon.

[00:06:07] We take the dogs back to their on the weekends because they have a lot more traffic than we do.

[00:06:12] And then if she doesn't get adopted, she'll probably be back with us next week.

[00:06:16] But she's a three year old.

[00:06:17] How to mix.

[00:06:18] She's just a sweet little girl.

[00:06:19] She truly gets along with any and all dogs that we put her into packs with.

[00:06:23] And we can't wait to hopefully help her find her forever home here very soon.

[00:06:28] Also just so you do know if you do have an interest in adopting her or having a meet and greet.

[00:06:33] You can reach out here at Homestown.

[00:06:35] We also give the new adopted parents three free days to also come in and check us out as well.

[00:06:42] And then if anybody in the community does have their own dogs that they want to come check out how sound we always give you your first day free in order to come in.

[00:06:48] To do the evaluation and give you a free day to check us out as well.

[00:06:52] But truly we hope that you can help us spread the word on Iyumi.

[00:06:56] And once we get her adopted out, we'll have somebody out in here new and continue that relationship, which has been great with three animal rescue.

[00:07:03] You guys have a great day.

[00:07:04] Thank you.

[00:07:05] Oh my gosh so adorable so adorable.

[00:07:08] And it seems like he's good natured and gets along with everybody.
