[00:00:01] Dude! Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Is this thing on? To the Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly.

[00:00:35] Alright, another episode. We've cranked the volume up. Maybe. So people can hear us. Hello? Is this thing on? Hopefully it's loud enough and if it's super bad, let us know. Alright. Well, it's always super bad when we do it here, but you know, you never know. But comment away. Join us. Yeah. We're gonna have some fun. Say something? Anything?

[00:01:02] Lots of stuff going on. Look at this. Yeah. What do you think? A new business coming to Market 42. What do you think? I don't know. They ready to tell us yet? I found out through a public records request that just happened. I do a... You do know. You just asked me, right? I'm like... I'm like...

[00:01:26] But yeah, you'll find out. Probably, maybe this weekend. Okay. Okay? But it's something... everyone's been asking for. How's that? Look, our video froze. Oh, great. Oh, and it's making you look lovely. Yeah. Okay. Well, maybe it's still working. Nope. I don't know. Maybe it's the storm.

[00:01:55] Move the microphone closer, Aaron said. The microphone is as close as it can be. All right. I'm gonna do this. How's that? We have other issues right now. We have lots of issues. I told you. All right. Next one. What are we... Are we even doing anything? So, yeah. Okay. Do you think? Yeah. Are you sure?

[00:02:24] For some reason, the camera has stopped. All right. Well, they don't... I don't want to look at me anyway. Let's see if I can fix that. Okay. You fix that. I'll talk about... All right. I don't know one Brunswick business that did open this week, and that's Blends. Smoothie and Bowls had their grand opening on the first. And a little bit different from your typical stuff. I think all natural, no syrups, none of that stuff.

[00:02:51] Knocked on their door, walked in there a couple weeks ago, and straight up banana and strawberries. A little bit of water. That sounds good. And that's about it. Yeah. So, I think you put yogurt... You can put all that stuff in there. But anyway, stop in tomorrow and Saturday and see what they're about. They're over in the Hickory Ridge Plaza. So, 10% off all day. And if you're one of the first 50 customers, you get 20% off.

[00:03:21] And we know when Lucas will be going because free refreshers from 3 to 7. If it's free, it's for me. I can get down for some refreshers. There you go. You said you weren't a smoothie guy, but... I saw their bowls too. Those look good though. Yeah, they do. I don't think I've ever had one of those. Yeah. Let's give those a shot. Yeah. So, they have some contests and that running.

[00:03:44] So, go over to Blends, Smoothies, and Bowls, and maybe win $200 cash too, it says. Yes. And welcome to Brunswick and welcome to Hickory Ridge Plaza. And good stuff. Yeah. This one's just a quick update for Keo Matcha. In case Don Don tries to stop there. Between 2.30 and 4.30, they're going to take a little break.

[00:04:15] Yeah. Just a little... A little siesta. Lunch break. So, you can check them out between 11 and 2.30 and then again 4.30 to 9.30. And then Friday and Saturday 4.30 to 10. 4.30 to 10. 4.30 to 10. They're open late. Yeah. Which is a good thing. And you were sad about this, weren't you? Yeah. Do you want me to do it? Are you okay? Go ahead. Yeah. Okay.

[00:04:41] So, Donutland has decided to remain closed on Mondays until further notice. So, it says actually, oh, it says for the first year in their new building. Yeah, I know. I know. So, Lucas and his daily fritter, you're just going to pick up two on Sunday and an extra one on Monday or something. It's fine. It's fine. Well, I'll be okay. We'll get you through this, buddy. We're here for you.

[00:05:09] I've noticed they've been adding some things in there that I haven't seen very often. Like, one day there was a strudel in there. What? Another day there was a vanilla banya. I don't even know what that is. No. I don't know what that is. Okay. It's the consistency of a cruller, maybe phyllo dough. I'm not sure how it's made because I'm not a baker. But... You're switching it up over there, huh? Yeah. They're putting some unique stuff in the case. And I want to get a list of all the different fritters that they have. Because I can start...

[00:05:39] They have apple. They have blueberry. They have s'mores. They have cranberry. They have triple berry. They had pineapple. They had pineapple. So... And there's probably more. Not every day. As long as they don't make the jalapeno one like they're trying to make the jalapeno cream. That sounds pretty awesome. Ugh! I like heat. I don't know. Heat and sweet sounds good. I don't know. Heat and sweet.

[00:06:06] They have that jalapeno jam. True. Jolly Jerry's Jam. It's delicious, right? I do like Jerry's Jolly's Jam. Yeah. You can get that over at the... Sunday at the Farm Market. Heritage Farm. Yeah? Check that out. All right. But yeah. Okay. Keep up the good work. Donut Land. Six days a week. I know you're growing and... You'll be okay. You'll be okay. You'll be alright. Okay.

[00:06:35] All right. Go ahead. The Brunswick Rec Center is closing temporarily starting September 8th through the 14th. So it doesn't say why, but you can go to the Strongsville Rec Center with your Brunswick Pass. They shut down and came to our Brunswick Rec Center for now and now returning the favor. However, it says...

[00:07:04] One of the comments says, Strongsville Rec Center's pool is closed. So... No pool for you. Oh, goodness. All right. Well, it is what it is. It is what it is. It is what it is. All right. Over at the Grounded Bean, they're getting in the pumpkin spice. It's about that time. Well, it is, except it's incredibly hot outside right now. I know. This is crazy.

[00:07:33] And we think it's storming out right now. Maybe. Looks to be. Looks to be. But let's see. The Fluffernutter Latte. Hot or iced espresso, choice of milk, white chocolate, and peanut butter sauces topped with toasted marshmallow and cold foam. That screams fall. Yes. What else you got there? The Happy Camper. Regular or diet root beer topped with toasted marshmallow and cold foam.

[00:07:59] Somebody was just asking about where's the best root beer float. That's not quite a root beer float, but it might get you. Right. It might get you over the hump. Aloha fall. Cold brewing coconut syrup topped with pumpkin spice, cold foam. And last but certainly not least, oatmeal, cream, pie, chicken, espresso. Oh, you're going to let me in the picture, huh? I know. How nice of you. You're sitting so far away from me today.

[00:08:26] Well, your wife gets mad if I sit close to you, so. You don't want to, you know. And they have, did you see this emotional support? They have emotional support bucket. It's right at the very bottom. It talks about it. Oh yeah, I can see that. How many ounces is that? Probably enough. It doesn't say. Big enough? Is it a big popcorn bucket size? Is it a big popcorn bucket size? No, no, not yet. I don't think it's that big.

[00:08:56] I don't know if I could drink that much coffee. That's a lot. That's a lot. Spread it out over the week. Great, great. All right, moving right along. All this silliness. Mapleside introduced their 2026 corn maze. And for those that were wondering, if anyone was wondering what the design might be. Boom, there it is. Da da da da. Who goes out there and cuts that down like that? Like how do they do that? I don't know. Good question.

[00:09:25] Do they put a drone up and they're like, okay, cut 10 feet forward? There has to be some sort, I don't know. Like is that a profession? Can I like. I don't know. I cut corn maze. We need to find out. We'll have an answer next week. Because I mean look at that, that's pretty intricate. Yeah. You screw it up, what do you do? Like. Right. Replant it? True. You can't do that. Yeah. And look at these lines in there. Yeah. I don't know. You might have talked to the king of straight lines and lawn mowing.

[00:09:54] Bedard brothers. Yeah. I was going to say. So yeah, you can go into their corn maze. They have wine and beer. They have wine and beer. And as you travel through there, it's a good time. Yeah. And if you haven't gotten your tickets for, what is it? Vino the Way? Vino the Way. Vino the Way. Those always sell out. So make sure you get them. All right. Oaks Family Care Center is in need of toiletries.

[00:10:26] So they are located right on 303. I don't know what that side street is right there. Manhattan. Yes? It's near Manhattan. I think it's going to be next street over. Thereabouts. Some of their most needed items, the shampoo and conditioner, body wash, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, razors, all that fun stuff.

[00:10:50] And also the blessing boxes in need of Brunswick United Methodist Church also needs toiletry items. Yeah. Those boxes are incredibly popular. We've seen a lot of people posting that they donated fresh fruits, vegetables, breads. It's nice to see the updates. Also, try and keep the dates right. Yes. Some people have been posting that people have donated general boxes from 2017.

[00:11:19] Somebody messaged me yesterday and she's like, we found stuff from 2017. I'm like, really? Really? I know you want to clean out your cupboard. Come on. We don't want to get anybody sick. Come on. There's no problem with the blessing boxes. Yeah. That's very much true. So before we get into events in the 212, so I went to a physical therapy appointment today. Mm-hmm.

[00:11:44] And this nice young man, new guy, hadn't had him, only my second time there. And he's like, so what do you got going on today? So I tell him, got a meeting, I got a podcast. He goes, I'm a big fan. And I was like, what? I go, how is this conversation going to go? Are you really a big fan? And are you just saying that because I'm standing in the middle of Cleveland Clinic with you? Yeah. So Carl from the Cleveland Clinic, physical therapy. Thank you for listening.

[00:12:14] Okay. That's all. That's all. I just wanted to get that in there. I told him I'd give him a shout out. I can't remember my guy from physical therapy at the Cleveland Clinic. Well, I had Roman last week. Okay. I don't think it was either one of them. And then, um, Carl this week. Okay. Well, thank you to all the listeners. They are out there. They do exist. You can check us out on your favorite platform.

[00:12:41] YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, to name a few. Yep. Podbean. I don't know if that one still exists. I don't know. They're out there and we appreciate it. All right. Well, now it's time for things to do in the 212. Okay. We got, uh, the end of the summer party with the heat at Willow Lake. This is Saturday, September 5th at 7 PM.

[00:13:05] Um, so you can enjoy them and their man-made lake there, um, for a good time. Birthday Bash. This Saturday at 8.30 PM over at Manzo's. Mm-hmm. With Eerie Cats. Have you heard them? Uh, I have not heard of Eerie Cats. No, you haven't. So that's who they have lined up for this week.

[00:13:35] Go over to their Facebook page and you can see, uh, what else Manzo's has lined up. Delicious Booze. Delicious Booze. There you go. I thought this one was unique. That is this Sunday at 11 AM. They are doing a butterfly tagging and release. I remember them doing this last year. Here, let's get that butterfly moving. Um, and that is over at Heritage Farm. I just talked about, uh, Jerry Jolly's Jelly Jams. How can you do that better?

[00:14:04] Um, and they are doing this at 11 AM on Sunday, September 6th. All right. That sounds like a fun event. And coming back around again to the Brunswick VFW Psychic Fair again this Sunday from 12 to 5. Um, having all the crystals and tarot card readings and all that good stuff that they have. I think they do this like once a month or so, once every six weeks or so.

[00:14:34] Yeah. So if you haven't been and you'd like to experience, experience, I was going to say experiment, experience that Sunday from 12 to 5, Brunswick VFW. Thank you. Very good. We got a third monkey returning to Willow Lake Park on Sunday. So the next day is, um, 7 to 11 PM because it's a holiday weekend. That's not AI. Did you know that? No, it's not AI? No, it's not AI. No? That's an actual person in a movie. It's an actual monkey.

[00:15:05] Oh, we're going to stay away from the AI conversation this week. Uh, Sunday again from 7 to 11 Willow Lake. Yeah. Let's see here. This one. Okay. Here we go. Classic car show. We got a car show over at care core at Willow wood. That's on, uh, what is that? Padcock. Padcock just south of the new fire station. And that is going down on.

[00:15:35] Next Thursday. Thursday, September 10th. Week from today. 4 to 7. 7 PM for a free classic car show. Live music and DJ raffle prizes, food, and, uh, plenty of vintage style. Very nice. If you'd like to take your car, they do ask if you RSVP, um, and the phone number is on their Facebook page. Mm-hmm. I was wondering if you had this in there. I keep seeing the signs everywhere. Yeah.

[00:16:03] Brunswick trike and bike event for cancer research on September 11th. Um, if you're interested in doing that, it starts at five o'clock at Brunswick Automart Stadium. Um, and you do need to register ahead of time to head just head over to Brunswick City Schools Facebook page. And, uh, you can find that information there. But that is a, uh, very popular event. It raises a lot of money, um, for cancer research and, uh, honor Colin's story.

[00:16:33] You can look that up and, um, support that. All right. Hinkley Fire Department, our neighbors to the... East. East. I look at you and you look at the sky like you want God to answer you. I get it. Hinkley Fire Department, touch a truck. Oh, this could be one of the last ones of the season. So, better go.

[00:17:03] Saturday, um, the 12th. So not this weekend, but next weekend, starting at one o'clock. And that's on 1616 Ridge Road in Hinkley. Right. Cub Scout Pack 3520, we'll be selling hot dogs and chips. And at 2 p.m. there will be a dedication for their newest medic unit. Oh, very cool. You can visit their website for more information at HinkleyTWP.org. And click on, uh, the events. Very cool. Let's see here.

[00:17:33] Let's check out their new... That might be a... Yeah, I don't think that's it. Oh, wait. There it is. They're like... It's a nice looking fire engine. Very cool. Uh-huh. See, that's not bad. That's a little bit of AI with a little bit of wheel thrown in there. You know? Yeah. All right. Finest Cravings is back over at The Bean. Choose your own, uh, season three course dinner. Mm-hmm.

[00:18:03] What? Right. Uh, let's see. Uh, let's see. What does it say? Mm-hmm. Come on, let's get to the nitty gritty. Where is the menu? Uh, for just 60 bucks you can choose some stuff. Oh, there it is. Oh, remember the last time we tried to do this? We asked her to call us and tell us how to say these words? Yeah, because too fancy for mine. She left us hanging then, too. Oh. Go ahead. We got, uh, goat cheese fritters.

[00:18:33] New York strip steak, I can say that. Look. Warm butter cake. Look. We're flying right along. And then for fall, they have a agnolati. A what? An agnolati. Agnolati. Zoom that one out. Lodi? Lodi. Ricotta and sage filled pasta, butternut squash, pesto, cranberry, sherry, gastrique. What's gastrique? I have no idea. Sounds like something you should see about it.

[00:19:02] I feel like we need a dictionary when we read these. We are so not. Anyway, she was on, um, what, Top Chef? She was on a chef cooking. Yeah. Food network. Yeah. And, uh, she, she graces us here in Brunswick with her delicious meals.

[00:19:22] So if you want a really great meal with some things you can't pronounce, um, reach out to her at Finest Cravings or at, uh, Grounded Bean. Grounded Bean. Yep. Double bone pork chop, pumpkin tiramisu. Oh, that sounds good. With candied pepitas. You know what that is? Now, why do you gotta do that? I was all in and then you threw in this weird word. Well, that's okay. It's good to try new things, right?

[00:19:52] Yeah, I guess. All right. All right. Lastly, and somebody just asked about this. Uh, the Medina County Veterans Service Office is having a free paper shredding Saturday, October 3rd, 9 a.m. till noon. It's not in Brunswick. It is in Medina. Um, Medina United Methodist Church on foot road. Please no plastic. No ring binders. Bring old flags for proper disposal. That's a side thing. They're not gonna shred those.

[00:20:21] Um, that's courtesy of the American Legion Post 202. You do not have to be a Medina resident and you do not have to be a veteran. I just saw a sign today. It was probably at the police station or the fire station, um, for the township that they're having a dumpster days next weekend. So we'll get the information for you guys and those of you in the township. Township only. Township only. Not city. This one is anybody. Uh oh.

[00:20:51] I think that's it. Oh, that's it? Get out of here before it starts raining. Right? Be safe out there. I am. I'm gonna go have sushi. The revolving sushi. See you guys. Take care. Bye.
