[00:01:12] Hello. Hello. You look so mean. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Alright, we are episode 149, take two. Last week my computer super glitched and I had to delete the whole thing. It was unwatchable. Yeah, so immediately after I heard drilling and pounding and wires being pushed through

[00:01:41] your walls and so now we are locked and loaded. I'll do whatever it takes to get the information out there. Yeah, with some advice from a lot of people, we made some changes and hopefully you can hear me and see me much better than before. So let's get right into it. [00:02:10] $2 movies, $2 popcorn, $2 drinks, Wednesdays at 10am and next Wednesday is the Smurfs. Nice. I'm wondering if there was a lot of people there today because it's so hot out looking for something. It is so hot out. It is so hot out. Yet we keep our AC very low so I have a sweatshirt on. Yeah, 68 degrees and she's got the sweatshirt on to keep her warm inside.

[00:02:40] I mean, doesn't everybody do that? What do you keep your temperature at? Let me know in the comments. And if anybody's below 68 degrees, I'd be very surprised. Shut up. I would be if you didn't set the thing to stay it. We're going to fix that. We're going to automatically make it raise up every so often. All right, let's see here.

[00:03:07] Last week I posted the June schedule for Panini's live music and they now have the July schedule here. So we got starting this Saturday, we have Logan Wells. Saturdays they typically do 6 to 9 p.m. and Sundays they do 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. out there on the patio, weather permitting. On Sunday they have Chris Donnelly and then they got a few other people as we go through the week here.

[00:03:38] Some great options there. Nice. Yeah. This one was very exciting. Check it out. Get ready for it. Yeah. You've been keeping a secret. Celeste's Celeste Tasty Treats truck has come in. They are adding another truck which only could mean more ice cream in more places around Brunswick. More parties, more events, more everything.

[00:04:08] So the beloved ice cream truck is coming in action, right? That's up to three now. I think they have three trucks. Sounds good. Although my wallet would probably appreciate it if she didn't come as much. It's true. It's true. I always get excited when I hear her. It's true. All right, we're getting into things to do in the 212. There's a lot of things going on this weekend. It's 4th of July weekend. Yeah.

[00:04:36] So, you know, obviously we're going to be hearing a lot of fireworks, right? And... Do we hear a lot of fireworks? Yeah. Yeah. I think so. Right. Is that what that noise is going off? I can tell if it was in the chat. The booms. The booms. First and foremost, we have Willow Lake Park, Friday, July 3rd.

[00:05:03] They have a parade there starting at 11 a.m., a cornhole tournament at 1 p.m., kids games at 3 p.m., and then Billy Like Soda Band plays at 7. So if you're looking for somewhere to stay cool this weekend, which I know you are... That's a cute little golf cart parade, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah. The residents and campers and visitors, you know, go all out on that parade.

[00:05:29] We were at Ledge Pool earlier today, and it was warm and nice. And, you know, another option right here is Willow Lake Park. All right, we got McGinty's Pub Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. has The Island Doctor with Island Vibes.

[00:05:57] You can check them out this Friday. 6 to 9 p.m. at McGinty's Pub. Right. Also Friday at 7 p.m. over at the Secrets at Center is Flashback Cleveland. They're playing live there, right there on 303. I've been hearing good things about their patio. We need to go check it out.

[00:06:24] Yeah, we haven't been out there yet, but it sounds very exciting. This one isn't fitting on the stream right, but 250th anniversary celebration going on for the city of Brunswick. They do their fireworks on the 3rd this year. They never do it on the 4th. So that thing kicks off at 7 p.m. with Funkology with fireworks to follow. So there's a free Funkology show.

[00:06:53] They'll have food trucks right there at the Rec Center. You can see the fireworks from there, and you can see the fireworks from most anywhere around town. Mm-hmm. Oh. And then if you're looking for something to do on Saturday, I'd recommend the 4th of July in the Valley City because they have a lot of things going on.

[00:07:22] They have a parade that lines up at 10 a.m. Marching units, cars, classic antiques, bikes, floats, a very good hometown feel. That kicks off at 10 a.m. line up, and then 11 a.m., the parade actually goes off.

[00:07:45] It starts at the Depot and goes west on 303, north and west on river, north on West River. That Depot museum is open there, too. That train, the train is out front? Yeah. From 930 to 11? Yep. And immediately following is the parade is grilled food available at the Mill Stream Run Pavilion and the Kona Ice and Feeling Good ice cream trucks.

[00:08:14] So that's a nice way to spend the 4th of July. How's that frog sculpture coming along? It's coming along, and the dedication is that day at 11.45 a.m. That thing is massive. So they're frog jump capital of the world, so they've got the frog jump coming up, and now they have a giant sculpture of a frog that they'll be dedicating. And then they'll have a car show at the Mill Stream Park and a couple other ceremonies and things.

[00:08:43] They've got the DJ spinning from 530 till 930. And that's that park back where they do the frog jump. Yeah. They have that festival, right? Yep. Yep. For such a small little town, when you drive back there and you see the festival and all the parking lot, it is a big area, and it's deceiving driving through their little town. Right. Yeah, you wouldn't know it was back there unless you know it's back there. Absolutely. Let's see what else we've got here. We've got...

[00:09:12] Country line dancing. Oh, yeah. But first we have our parade. Oh, yeah. Which I don't have a thing for. Our parade is Sunday. July 5th. That's at July 5th at 2 p.m. 2 p.m. And that goes from the middle school down Manhattan Drive. 5th. Turns right on 303 and goes to the Rec Center Library. But aren't they doing something different this year? Am I wrong?

[00:09:40] Because I saw signs that said that Hadcock was going to be closed for the parade. So am I wrong? Well, you can't... I mean, had the end of Hadcock will be closed. Is that just what they meant? Yeah. Oh, because I thought for some reason maybe they were going to have everybody come down Hadcock and go in like where the Board of Education office is now. Yeah. Well, no, they probably close it up closer to... Because, you know, once you go past minor... That makes more sense. There's really nowhere else you can go other than turning around. Yeah. So, yeah.

[00:10:10] So, yeah. Come check out Brunswick's parade on Sunday. And thank you to Sheila Watson for putting that on. Local resident and realtor have been organizing that and getting it ready year after year. Moving right along, we have Country Line Dance Lessons. Wednesday, July 8th at 7pm.

[00:10:35] This is with Jane Shaw. 25 years of experience. Jane creates a well-becoming, upbeat atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable learning and having a great time. You'll pick up easy to follow dances, gain confidence, and enjoy a mix of favorites. This is over at Market 42.

[00:11:00] As a recent Country Line Dance enthusiast myself, I'm pretty excited about this. Yeah. I don't know if anybody knows this because it's not really posted, but there is a woman who actually happened to be my high school geometry teacher that teaches line dancing at the Rec Center on Tuesday nights from 6 to 7pm. It's only $3. And it's fantastic.

[00:11:23] My daughter and I have been going and learning these dances, and she breaks it down so that it is just so much easier to learn. Yeah. Because I've gone places where they kind of walk you through it, and then they're like, okay, let's go. Turn the music on, and you're lost. So she does a really nice job. I bet half our audience knows her. Mrs. Kolar. Yes. Tried teaching me algebra in 1995. Geometry. Geometry? Maybe that's why you didn't do so good. Yeah.

[00:11:50] But now she's live teaching line dancing, and my wife and daughter are enjoying it. Moving along, we have Equine Essentials is having a 4th of July late night clearance sale. This is from 11am till 7pm, so they're going to be open later. And you can just stop on by if you have any horse-related needs or whatnot.

[00:12:20] And check that out. What do we got next? We have Two and a Half Men. Trivia over at the Wooden Nickel. That is this Monday, July 6th from 645 at 645pm. They asked for you to make reservations just so they can save you a table. Oh. Any trivia or bingo or anything I've been there, even the booking reservations usually

[00:12:48] books up quick, so definitely call ahead and get yourself in there. Such a good time there. And I think... Oh! One last thing that didn't pull up for me here for some reason. Bethel on North Carpenter is this coming Friday, July 10th at 6pm is having a movie there. It's free and open to all. And they are showing the Super Mario Galaxy movie on the big screen that will start at dusk. So it's going to be a little bit later.

[00:13:18] You don't have to show up at 6pm. But bring your blankets and lawn chairs and save yourself a seat while you're waiting for the movie to begin. They are going to have food trucks and bounce houses and face painting and games and giveaways and more. And it's all free. Sounds nice. That's it. That's pretty much all I have. I hope the stream worked a hell of a lot better than it did last week. I'm sorry about that. We've been doing this for... Three years.

[00:13:47] Three years now. And we still have technical difficulties and stuff doesn't pop up on the screen correctly sometimes.
