[00:00:01] You gonna start off with that? Well I'm gonna start off with, to start. To the Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly. It's it. It's it. You look at me like, are you ready? Episode 146. Today is June 3rd. You want me to help you? June 3rd. Lucas hasn't had a lot of sleep so this is gonna be interesting today.

[00:01:04] And we have a sponsor. Yeah we want to say we're sponsored by Hickory Ridge Cinemas. Yeah check out their summer movie series. Every Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. $2 tickets, $2 small popcorn and $2 small beverage so check them out. They kicked off this week and next week I think I saw it's gonna be Garfield. Nice. For the movie. Nice. And then they got Masters of the Universe.

[00:01:32] Universe playing and Scary Movie and Backrooms and The Breadwinner and Passenger and Star Wars, Mandalorian and Grogu. The Sheep Detectives. That one looks fun. That one looks fun. Yeah. Devils Wear Prada 2. Michael. Hee hee. And Summer Mario Galaxy Movie. Check them out.

[00:01:58] Alright. Thank you very much. Support local. Hashtag. Support local. Alright. Let's kick it off. What else we got? We got Park Pierogi. They now have a sweet pierogi. So you have something else there for dinner you can stop by them and get a I would call it a dessert. Sweet cheese. Yeah. But it's served I think with a raspberry. Strawberry sauce.

[00:02:25] Sweet sour cream and fresh strawberries. It's delicious. Have you ever had a sweet cream? I have never had a sweet cream pierogi. I have. Yeah. Good. Good stuff. Okay. Yep. Yep. Yep. Alright. Also in the news. More food. Yeah. Of course. Yes. Of course.

[00:02:47] Um. I just went in there for the first time. Bronca's. Mm-hmm. Uh. Big house. And now it's also Bronca's Bar. Um. Will be open until 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. So after 7 o'clock they're going to be offering a full bar. And um. They'll be open until 9. Great food. Great drinks. Late nights. Yeah. I was surprised to see a full bar inside there. People were uh.

[00:03:13] You know. Enjoying themselves. It's really changed. I saw two of the councilmen there having a good time and uh. Yeah. It's definitely different. If you have if you were in there when they first opened things have changed. They didn't have hot food. Now they have hot food. Uh. They didn't have a bar. Now they have a bar. So worth checking out and uh. Worth checking out a second time.

[00:03:34] Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Portions are huge. Mm-hmm. Bakery's delish. Oh. And sometimes they have uh. After 5 o'clock they have half price bakery. Oh. Yeah. I forgot about that. Like a section that's like half price. Mm. Anyway. Check them out over where Rito's used to be. Bronca's, Bakehouse, and Cafe and Bar. Yeah. And if you're watching. Drop a comment below. Let us know if you've ever been there and what you liked.

[00:04:03] And uh. That way I can make sure my comment box is working. Got that new comment box. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Look at the Sophie. See? Techie. Yeah. I'm looking so fancy. Ha ha ha. This is pretty awesome. Um. Valley City is creating a frog sculpture out of wood. That is going to go into um. Their park there. Well obviously where they have the frog jump. And uh. Look at the size of this thing. That's a pallet underneath. I thought it was butter first. You know how to make those sculptures out of butter?

[00:04:33] Yeah. It did look kind of uh. But okay. No it's not. But yeah. That's a normal pallet. That thing's huge. Yeah. Um. I saw also they're looking for frogs. For the frog jump. They're like if you have a pond. Mm-hmm. And you have some bullfrogs. Let us know because they need some. Mm-hmm. All right. We talk about the most interesting stuff here. Right. Right. This one was good. This is good. The Brunswick police uh put out a little video

[00:05:03] here about uh roundabouts. Yeah. Let's see if we can play it. We can't because it doesn't play the audio under the. Oh wait. Yeah it does. Here we go. Boulevard. For many years Laurel and Maxwell has been a dangerous intersection with numerous injuries and several tens of thousands of dollars in property damage. Yeah. I'm showing it. One of the ways we can make that intersection

[00:05:28] safer is to put a traffic circle as opposed to the stop signs that are currently there. One of the common justifications for installing a roundabout versus a traditional four-way stop or a traffic signal is for safety. A conflict point is defined as an area where two vehicles can collide. Traditional intersections have 32 conflict points. Roundabouts only have eight

[00:05:53] conflict points significantly reducing the odds of a crash. Studies have shown that replacing a traffic signal with a roundabout reduced serious injury and fatal crashes almost 80 percent. When a roundabout was installed versus a four-way intersection with a two-way stop there was an almost 90 percent

[00:06:15] reduction in serious injury and fatal crashes. An IIHS study of three roundabouts found that public opinion prior to the installation of the roundabout was at 31 percent approval. However, one year after the roundabout was installed, public support for the roundabout increased to over 70 percent. Roundabouts moved traffic more efficiently, reducing delays and reducing fuel consumption. The detour

[00:06:45] for this construction zone will be as follows. Westbound traffic will always be maintained. If you are southbound on Maxwell Boulevard, you will need to turn onto Chelsea Drive, then make a right turn and go south on Berwick, a left turn on Carlisle, and then a right turn on Coventry, which will bring you back out to Laurel Road.

[00:07:09] If you are eastbound on Laurel Road, you will make a right turn onto Pinewood Drive, a left turn on Apple Wood Drive, a left turn on Coventry Drive, which will take you back to Laurel Road, and you can continue eastbound. Laurel Road has and will continue to be closed to commercial motor vehicles. However, commercial motor vehicles may need... Yada yada yada goes on more from there. Yeah, but that was a good video.

[00:07:38] It was, yeah. Very informative. You know, people are still up in arms about why a traffic circle... This kind of explains it really good. And I think it's on... You posted it on the big page, but it's also on group therapy? Yep. Ambrose of Ohio Police. Yeah. Ambrose of Ohio Police. Watch the last minute and a half of it. Definitely. Yep. Definitely take a look at that.

[00:08:05] So, all right. From circles to... I don't know. I don't have a good transition. Pooches? Dogs? Yeah. Roger's back. Not with us on audio, but we will keep spotlighting all the dogs because you guys have done such a great job of getting these dogs homes.

[00:08:26] This week, we're going to talk about Olive. One-year-old Lab Pyrenees mix. Sweet and gentle with a loving personality, they said. Treat motivated, aren't we all? Right?

[00:08:41] And knows basic commands. So, if you're interested in Olive, head over to Bria Animal Rescue or you can contact Roger at Houndstown and they'll get you in touch with Bria Animal Rescue. But she's pretty. Yeah. She's very pretty. Cute dog. She is. All right.

[00:09:07] All right. I saw this thing rolling around town. Well, only one spot. But you saw it at the first Touch a Truck of the year. It was a Touch a Truck of the year. Yep. The scouts over at St. Ambrose had it. And there it was. There it is. Mm-hmm. I don't know what else that woman can do, but she's exhausting me just looking at all this stuff. But, you know, in the middle of locating, relocating the business, she bought a food truck.

[00:09:37] Yeah. And I don't know. Somebody said she should drive around neighborhoods and sell donuts and coffee. But I know she probably used it for the Cleveland, what was it? No, she didn't. She didn't have it. No? It wasn't ready then. Oh, okay. It's not fully ready inside yet. Mm-hmm. But trustee Ryan Nixon from the township has a plan. Oh, okay. He's going to talk to her and he has a plan. Oh, boy. I'm excited. I don't know.

[00:10:05] I'm excited. But it may be, you know, the donut truck will go around in the morning and then the ice cream truck will go around. Now we just need a dinner truck to go around. I love it. And we don't have to leave our homes. I love it. So there you go. But congratulations again to Donutland. The big move is this week. Yeah. That thing looks great. They did great on those graphics and the design. Yeah. It almost looks like an ambulance. And, you know, sometimes Donut's is an emergency. Oh, it is an emergency. That's true. I think she needs light bars on the top. That's true.

[00:10:35] Some amber light bars. Oh, that'd be funny. And as we all know, they are in the process of closing to relocate. So they're going to close this Sunday at 2 p.m. or when they sell out, whatever happens first. Is that right? Yep. 2 p.m. And for about two weeks, they'll be open for, hope to be back open for Father's Day weekend. They're looking for legacy sponsors. What is that?

[00:11:03] That is, you make a donation, you get something for it, and they're going to use that to hopefully work on phase two of the process. So they want to open up. They want to be efficient. They want to make sure all their donuts are tasting the same and looking the same and displayed beautifully, you know, and everybody has their footing. And then phase two down the road is a drive-through. That's very exciting. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:11:32] So you can make a $50 donation and get a legacy, one entry into the legacy drawing, which I'll tell you about what that is in a moment. Legacy Donutland t-shirt, $100. You can be a Honey Glaze sponsor, two entries into the legacy drawing, a $25 gift card, a legacy Donutland t-shirt, $500. The Apple Fritter sponsor, 10 entries into the legacy drawing, $50 gift card, name on the sponsor plaque, two Legacy Donutland t-shirts. Yeah.

[00:12:01] And finally, $1,000 donut cake sponsorer, 25 entries into the legacy drawing, a VIP card for 25% off all purchases. For life. For life. VIP soft opening invitation. You get to see the inside. I got to see a picture of it. Nice. Yeah. Very exciting. Name of sponsor plaque, a name on the sponsor plaque and four Legacy Donutland t-shirts.

[00:12:31] And the legacy drawing will get you, the winner will receive one dozen donuts every week for a year. A week? Yeah. You guys will be fat as me. That's 52 dozen donuts. It's over. Yeah, that's a lot of donuts. You didn't do the math. You didn't do the math on the day. One free donut cake on your birthday. It's a lot. Like 600 donuts, right? 500 and 534.

[00:13:00] No, my God. Anyway. Which one are you doing? Yeah. Which one am I doing? Yeah. If I do any, it'll be the $50 one. That's going to be it. Which one are you doing? Let's talk about this thousand. Go ahead. The $25 off the VIP card for life? Yeah. I'm going to, do you know how much I'll save?

[00:13:20] And they're really nice engraved red business card size things that were engraved by Heather's Crafty Nook. Yeah? Do they fit in a wallet? Yeah. They fit in your wallet, so no matter when you go. Because I mean, let's see. I'm saving $1.07 on every apple fritter. Raking it all down. By month, that would pay for my Netflix easily. Easily.

[00:13:48] With no commercials. Oh, my gosh. For life. Holy cow. But if you won the Legacy Drawing, you wouldn't even have to worry about it. Because you'd get a dozen free every week. Yeah, that's too many donuts. I'd probably be giving those away. You could donate them. Yeah, you could donate them. Yeah, I'd give it to my favorite mechanic or my favorite barista. Yeah, yeah. Or not. Highlight a business summary. That's too much. But I like apple fritters anyways. Or I could think of it this way.

[00:14:15] I could eat 25% more apple fritters at no extra cost. That's a good way to think of it. I hope my forgiving and wife will understand when I drop $1,000. I'll put her name on the plaque. She's listening right now. So, you know. The beautiful understanding and forgiving wife of Erin. Surprise, Erin. $1,000 is coming out of the health budget.

[00:14:42] We'll just skip the vacation this year. Wait, I think I just heard her yell. Like, hell you will. She's stomping on the floor, right? Oh, my gosh. And while we're on this topic, don't forget to check out on the page. Jeff Henson did some behind-the-scenes photos that are just phenomenal. Yeah. And I'm sure he would be interested in selling some of those, too. If you'd like to purchase, he can make you a big picture.

[00:15:12] I don't know what it's called. But anyway. All right. All right. So check that out, too. Yeah. All right. Here we go. Here we go. Is it time for things to do in the 2-1-2 already? All right. Let's do it. As soon as I'm using the right size here. Okay. Well, figure it out. It'll go along. It's okay. Live. We got Island Troy at the Secret Center. He's playing on the patio this Friday at 7 p.m. I believe they've got their patio open.

[00:15:39] I know we're going to talk about their grand opening of the patio on Sunday. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. We need a list of patios like we did last year. Oh, yeah. If you don't get patios, drop it in the box. Yeah. Yeah. Erin wrote, my name better be bigger than yours on the plaque. Oh, see? She's considering it then. So you're saying there's a chance. Exactly. Oh, my goodness.

[00:16:08] More karaoke tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. And that is over at someplace that I can't see. Where is it? That is at Gandalf's. Gandalf's. From tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. Karaoke with Jackie D and Rattlesnake Jones. He sounds scary. Yeah. That is a scary name. Right? All right.

[00:16:34] And if you don't know where Gandalf's is, you're missing out because their food is really good. They're in downtown Valley City. So go check them out. Just go down into Valley City. They're on the right-hand side. Right past Valley City Grill and Chill. I've never been, but I have seen pictures of the food and it looks delicious. Oh, the food's really good. FM 77 is playing Saturday night at 7 p.m. And they are over at Willow Lake Park. All right.

[00:17:02] Willow Lake has a lot of bands throughout the summer, too. Yeah. So if you're looking for something outdoors, it's like a $5 admission, something like that, to get into the park. You can go see the bands just about every weekend. And they're super close. Yeah. It's nice to have them nearby. There's a new pop-up market series at Market 42, hosted by Uniquely Ashley Designs. And that will take place this Saturday from 9 to 4.

[00:17:30] If you're interested, some of the vendors, well, that's for the farmer's market. You're pointing that on the script. That's for the farmer's. This is different. No, it's just. No, this is different. Are you sure? I think. Yeah, I think it's different. Huh. So the farmer's market. Yeah, the farmer's market is on Sunday. This is on Saturday. Oh. The lack of sleep will do that to you. My bad. But anyway. All right.

[00:18:00] Back to Uniquely Ashley. We'll have some vendors on Saturday from 9 to 4. Okay? So check them out. Now, what Lucas was alluding to is back over it. But there's going to be, you asked for it. They listened. Here it comes. A farmer's market. Sunday, June 7th. This Sunday. So go and check them out. Farmer's market at Market 42. Including Tammy D's Sweet Treats.

[00:18:30] Route 42 Harvest. Our favorite. Oh, my gosh. Missing Pine Farm out on Sleepy Hollow. Burn and Danielle there. Have some gorgeous baskets. BJ's Olive Oil Sauces and More. Tri-State Cheese. Brookhaven. Oh, my gosh. There's so many. Akron Pickle Company. There's going to be a lot of vendors there. And if you haven't heard, there is a fruit and vegetable vendor coming to the market.

[00:19:00] Is that what's going in that spot? Permanently. Nice. I'm tired of waiting for somebody to announce it. So I'm announcing it. Do it. How's that? Do it. So, yes. That's what's coming in to the market. There will be a fruit and vendor. Fruit and veggie vendor. I saw the setup. It looks like a very, like, West Side Market type style. Where they put the tables out and they're going to put the fruit and vegetables on. That's where you came from. Oh, okay. Nice. How do you like that? Nice. I like that. I like that. All right.

[00:19:29] So, anyway, that's the farmer's market on Sunday. And then on Saturday is the vendor event. Gotcha. Got it. A lot of things going on. Yeah. Yeah. I think I got another one coming up here. Okay. We got the Zoomies playing at Manzo Sports and Spirits. They're going on this Saturday at 8.30 p.m. until 11.30 p.m. I just like their team. Yeah. Good stuff. That's fun. All right. What else? We got the patio.

[00:19:59] Grand opening at Secret at Center. That is this Sunday at noon until 7 o'clock. We're going to have music from 1.30 to 4.30. And just a great time. The patio looks really nice. Go to their Facebook page and check out what they got set up there. Very cool. All right. More music. Just DD Music Live at Panini's. And that's going to be on Sunday at 4 o'clock.

[00:20:26] There's never a shortage of things to do around here. People think there is. But all you have to do is check out our events, right? That's right. We'll find something for you. That's for sure. Yeah. Here's one where the picture disappeared. But it is Book Lovers and Tarot Paint Night. Tuesday, June 9th at 6 p.m. And that's all the information I have. That's all you got. Yeah. I don't know where the rest of the stuff went. All right. That's it.

[00:20:56] Ah. Pickled pineapple on the patio. Relaxing paint class. All supplies are included. And it's a teacher-led class. It includes a tarot card reading and your first beer and wine ticket. Nice. All right. Space Camp is the theme for Vacation Bible School. And that is going to be over at, where is that, Grace Baptist? Mm-hmm. Yeah.

[00:21:24] Exploring God's Universe One Mission at a Time, it says. June 8th through the 11th, 630 to 830 each night. And that's for kids ages 6 to 12. You register by going to Grace Baptist Church event page or their website and check them out. It's an exciting week, it says, with games, challenges, and lessons. Free, open to the public. Yeah.

[00:21:53] And something for the kids to do, you know? Mm-hmm. Yep. And they're working on an expansion for their church as well. I know St. Ambrose is working on a parking lot. And Grace Baptist is expanding the building. Wow. Yeah. It's already a pretty big building. Yeah. So, congratulations to both of you on your expansion. Here it is. The Market 42 is having a summer porch leaner paint night. Well done. Yeah.

[00:22:24] You can stop by there and make one of two designs. A bright yellow floral summer design that you see in the picture. Or a patriotic red, white, and blue design. That's this coming Wednesday, June 10th from 630 to 9 p.m. It's $55 a person. Of course, everything is included. The paint, the board, all that. But stencils and a guided instruction. There's no experience necessary. And this one is by Kindred Hive Crafts.

[00:22:53] And that thing is four foot by ten foot. My wife might enjoy that. Four foot by ten foot? We have a couple porch leaners. That's what it says. I don't think so. Oh, four foot by ten inch. It'd be as big as the Donutland bus. I think we should do this every week. You should have, what, three hours of sleep, you said? Yeah. Yeah, I think we should definitely do it. It's much more entertaining. Yeah. Much more entertaining. All right. Again, that's four foot by ten inches.

[00:23:21] And so you will be able to get it into your car if you make one of these. If you're interested, please check them out. Go to Market 42 or who is it? Who did you say it was by? Kindred Hive Crafts. Right. And there's actually an event. So you could probably find the information in there, too. Just type that into the event. All right. What else? That's it. That's all we got. Really? Yeah.

[00:23:51] Good, because I don't know if we can. Oh, you got time to go check out the Chardon Poco Band. Oh, yeah. Free event starting at 6 o'clock. So you have about a half hour if you're watching it live. Over at the Brunswick Rec Center. It's nice outside, so you can just grab some chairs. They're going to have some food vendors selling food. And free. And free. That's good. If it's free, it's for me. Food vendors should sell food. That's good.

[00:24:22] You're exaggerating. Come on. Come on. Oh, my gosh. But the food's not free. You have to pay for the food. But the entertainment, which I hear is amazing. They are. Check them out tonight over at the Rec Center. Yep. And I think that's going to do it, because Lucas cannot handle any more of this today. Back to bed. All right. We'll see you, Brunswick. Bye. Bye.

[00:25:41] On both YouTube and Facebook. If you own or manage an area of business and would like to be featured in an upcoming Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast, please reach out to Kimberly or I through any of our social media pages.
