[00:00:53] Alright, here we are, episode number 143 according to the screen. Okay, screen's always right. Hyper right. True. We missed last week, I was out of town. Yep. Bunch of good stuff. I was probably fighting traffic downtown, is what I was doing. Bringing my husband home from surgery. Oh wow. So, anyway, let's get back to it. Back in the saddle, here we are. Yeah.

[00:01:24] Start off with a love story. Yeah, it was nice. So, congratulations to Hannah and Kyle. They are the owners of The Human Bean. And they got married a while ago. When was that? Like the first or something like that? Something like that. But anyway, congratulations to them. We're very excited for them. Yeah. Now get back to work.

[00:01:49] Another great business is the Secrets out at the Secretive Center. They're the new business over next to Arby's where Tangled Vine was. And they didn't even know it, but they were nominated and came in third place for Best Gastropub in the May issue of the Cleveland Magazine. But I've never been, I haven't been there yet.

[00:02:19] I haven't been there yet either. Oh my gosh. But congratulations to them. Yeah. It's really awesome. That is cool. They're getting recognized by those that have gone. Yeah. Well, their menu looks phenomenal. Their food looks great. Got some events coming up from the Brunswick, Ohio Parks and Rec. Got some concerts scheduled. This is part of their summer concert series.

[00:02:48] They got the Sharda Polka Band. If you haven't seen them, go see them, especially when they're outside on that stage. Yep. And that is Wednesday, June 3rd. It's a weeknight, 6 to 8 p.m. Really, really fun band. I mean, it says polka, but, well, it is polka, but it's fun. It's a fun polka, huh? It's a fun polka, yeah. And then we got Funkology on July 3rd.

[00:03:13] That's 6 to 9 p.m., and they'll have fireworks to follow in celebration of 4th of July. And another one, August 3rd, Ace Molar, 6 to 8 p.m. That's a Monday night. A couple of free events outside the Brunswick Rec Center, and they have food and beverage available for purchase. I can't believe that we're planning summer. I know. I think I just read that there's some kind of warm bubble coming, and it's supposed to be 90 degrees. Yeah.

[00:03:42] We're just jumping to 90 degrees now. Yeah, we just... That's just how we do it. Forget spring. We just go home. Okay, Northeast Ohio. Yeah. We hear ya. Every year. Every stinking year. Oh my gosh. We actually picked the dates for Trunk or Treat. Oh yeah? So that's already on the schedule, and Touch a Truck is gonna be back, and so we'll get you guys all that information. All right. What's going on at Panini's?

[00:04:11] Oh, Panini's is rocking it out it looks like. Mm-hmm. They have live music Fridays and Saturdays. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, they're really ramping it up this year. Noisy over there. And don't forget, don't forget that is a Dora location. Yeah. And so you can get a drink at Panini's and then take a walk around the lake and come back and listen to some more music. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Not quite around the lake.

[00:04:38] There's a little pie sliver out by the houses back there that you can't hang. Legally. Oh. I mean, you drown it before you get there and find a trash receptacle. Yeah, I guess. And you can walk around the lake. Or bring it back and fill it up and then walk the other way. You can sit on the side of the lake. Oh, my goodness. Yes. But they got, let's see, what do we got going on here?

[00:05:02] Starting, we got a few that went behind us already, but we got Tencent Bobby this Saturday, Easy Ian this Sunday, and then next week Sparrow and the Lost Boys, Fun Girl, Stringer Brothers, and Pete Lazar. They have a nice little patio out there, rain or shine patio and some stuff. Yeah. Absolutely. All right. Moving right along. What's next? Oh.

[00:05:31] Yeah, I thought this was pretty cool. This is very cool. I get their bread anyways. Yeah, might as well. So Atticus Bread Giveaway. And Dustin said, here's how it works. You buy any loaf at $12 or more. Each loaf equals one entry. And there's no limit on how many entries you can get in store purchases only. What you can win. First place is a $150 gift card, plus a little something else where it says.

[00:06:01] Second place is a $100 gift card, and third place is a $50 gift card. So head on over to Market 42, see Dustin and his gang over at Atticus Bread Company, and get entered in their giveaway. Good bread. Yeah. Need to try the pizza one. You tried it though, didn't you? Oh, their pizza night? Yeah, pizza night. Friday's. Yeah, I think I've had three or four different ones now.

[00:06:31] Oh, gosh. Great. That's a pretty fun bread. Seth Greenfelder is hosting an annual Special Olympics car wash. All proceeds go to the Special Olympics Brunswick Lawn Forch Relay. And that's going to be at Culver's Restaurant this Saturday, 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. So stop on by. Get your car washed. Have a butter burger.

[00:07:02] The votes are still out on what you should dip your cheese curds in. There's lots of work in my way to everything. You're really looking for that discussion, aren't you? Yeah. Oh, I like their shrimp. Their shrimp is really good for Culver's. I'm definitely allergic to shrimp. Oh, well, then you won't be having any. Yeah. So anyway, this Saturday. Got it. Between 10 and 2, I'll be there. Yeah. Got it. All right. You're the expert now on this one.

[00:07:32] Yeah. Why don't you tell us about this? The Brunswick Valkyries girls team is beginning their playoff run for defending their back-to-back state champions. They were state champions last year. The quarterfinals is against St. Joe's at Brunswick Auto Mart Stadium right here in Brunswick at the high school. That's this Sunday at 1 p.m. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. It's $10 to get in. Seniors and children 10 or younger are free. That's rugby.

[00:08:02] I think you did. You said Valkyries, so you know. If you don't know rugby, watch a few YouTube videos on basics and- And you still won't get it. It takes a long, long time to understand it. My daughter played for several years and I'm like, okay, yay, honey. Whatever. But it is a fantastic support to watch once you understand what the heck you're watching. Exactly. Exactly. But everyone's really helpful too, though. I mean, you can sit there with another mom or dad and they would be like, okay, now we'll do this. Okay, why did they do that this time and not last time?

[00:08:30] Why are they calling my daughter a hooker? Right. But good luck to the Brunswick Valkyries girls as they defend their back-to-back state champion. It's exciting. Cool girls. All right. All right. And then also this weekend, Saturday from 10 to 3 is spring has sprung it looks like over at Fair Trade Market. There's a Mother's Day market.

[00:08:59] We're off a week, but that's okay. But it is this Saturday from 10 to 3. Go check out the flowers. She's going to have a nice selection of flowers and stuff like that. And there'll be some other vendors there. Plus you can check out all the vendors inside too. Yeah. And the home of the now opened... Chill Out Italian Ice. Chill Out Italian Ice. If you haven't seen the pictures of their Italian ice. It looks so good. Yeah. Yeah. That's somewhere I need to stop soon.

[00:09:30] All right. Moving right along. Feel that a fun. Yeah. Marvel Movie Night Trivia Night over at Ignite. That is this Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m. You can enjoy great beer, drink specials, friendly competition, and a chance for prizes. Whether you're a casual fan or a true super fan, this night is for you. I don't know.

[00:09:58] You always end up going to one of those and you think you're going to be a super fan and it turns out you're just a casual fan. I know. But nonetheless, it's fun. Went to one with you and I know how much I don't know is what I know. About... What was it about? It was... Crime. Wasn't it? Crime dramas. Yeah. Crime stories or something. I don't know. You only know a broad look at crime. Yeah. Oh my goodness.

[00:10:23] Over at Manzo's, Medusa is back and they will be there Saturday night from 830 till about midnight. 1155, huh? They're just like walk off the stage before midnight. Yeah. They've got that midnight curfew. They got to get to the car. They turn into pumpkins or something. Something. So go check them out. Cold beer, good drinks. Delicious foods. Yeah. And it's hard to not have a good time there. There you go. Oh, and it's an all-girl band. That's fun too.

[00:10:55] This one's kind of excited. Bianca's Craft Night is next Wednesday at 6pm. They are making an interchangeable wall hanger jar. The magnetic bunny can be swapped out with seasonal pieces from summer lemons to winter snowflakes, everything in between. Anything you can come up with and stick a magnet on the back. So you have a one craft for year-round decoration. Spots are limited. So call and reserve.

[00:11:22] Craft is $45, but get $5 off if you dine with them beforehand. Cute. Yep. Very cool. I think you should send Aaron to this next one. So it's a boudoir photography information night at Aaron White, Hunky? I forget her name. Yeah. She's in B3 and I still forget her name. But anyway, over next to Ollie's. She's in that plaza over there next to Ollie's.

[00:11:52] Come see what it's really about because there's some misconceptions, I think, about boudoir photography. It's not raunchy. It's actually boudoir. And I'm sure she'll talk about that. Very beautiful and very classy. Show some examples. Yeah. But there's... Are you gonna volunteer? Are we gonna tribute? Are you going? No. They should do a male boudoir. I don't even take good regular photos. They should do a male boudoir. You should see my professional headshot. I'm like, ugh. Yeah. Enjoy light refreshments, connect, and get inspired.

[00:12:20] That's from 630 to 830. Friday, May 22nd. Clothing's optional. Right. Yeah. That's... I mean, a lot of them have clothing. No, they all have clothing, actually. Yeah. Not much, but, you know. Alright, enough of that silliness. Well, I already moved us on a screen, so... Alright, let's move along. Move along.

[00:12:48] Speaking of clothing or lack thereof, fireman's calendar would be nice. Oh, I'm sorry. Hinckley Firemen's. A basket raffle. We were talking about that last night in a Zoom meeting. Never mind. That was just... Tickets for the Hinckley Firemen's Association basket raffle. Lots of great baskets to choose from. So support your local fire department. Get your baskets today.

[00:13:15] Raising funds to support department initiatives and community outreach efforts. So they will have 10 unique baskets, each thoughtfully curated, it says, with great items and experiences for all to enjoy. From themed gift sets to local favorites, there's something for everyone. So, here we are. We see Ryobi. Ryobi. Ryobi. Golfing. Mm-hmm. Booze. Yetis. Blackstone.

[00:13:45] Great. Yeah. Which one would you pick? Um... Let's see here. I would probably... I already have a Blackstone. So I think I'd go with the Yeti cooler package. Yeah. I was gonna say, I saw you guys doing shots on vacation. We did a few shots. So you probably have had enough. We did a few shots of them. And I'm not a super huge bourbon drinker. So the Buffalo Trace, which is my understanding is like one of the best bourbons or hardest to get. Um...

[00:14:15] So that's really nice. I think I'd go with the Yeti package. Yeah. Yeah. So I think that's it for the lineup. Did you have anything else you wanted to talk about? I think you're right. Not that I can think of. I'm still kind of, uh... You know, I just got back and I'm getting back into the grind of everything. No topics. Got my Rise and Grind 7 Brew Coffee t-shirt on today. And look at that. Free merch. Love it. It's free? It's for me. There you go. All right, Brunswick.

[00:14:44] I think that's going to do it for us. Um... Is that it? Yeah. That's it. All right. Take care. As always, I want to thank you for checking out the Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast
