[00:00:00] Welcome to the Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly.

[00:00:07] Let's do it.

[00:00:13] Are we ready?

[00:00:14] Yeah.

[00:00:15] Last time you could hear me breathing out my nose, so this time I'm going to be a little

[00:00:18] more.

[00:00:19] I'm going to be a mouth breather this time for episode 50.

[00:00:22] Let's get it right for once.

[00:00:24] All right.

[00:00:25] All right.

[00:00:26] Well, first we want to start off by thanking everybody for the auction.

[00:00:30] We had 52 items, I think, and raised about $6,500.

[00:00:39] Yeah.

[00:00:40] Phenomenal.

[00:00:41] Way to go.

[00:00:42] That was crazy.

[00:00:43] That was very good.

[00:00:44] Very, very good.

[00:00:45] So I want to thank everybody and eventually I'll get a list up of everybody that donated

[00:00:52] just so we can thank them proper.

[00:00:54] But thank you.

[00:00:55] Thank you again.

[00:00:56] So okay.

[00:00:57] What else we got?

[00:00:58] Let's get right into it.

[00:01:00] The famous farms is added again with one of these, another birth of this time a reindeer.

[00:01:05] You've never seen a baby reindeer?

[00:01:08] I've never seen a baby reindeer until now.

[00:01:10] Only in photos.

[00:01:11] Snowflake.

[00:01:12] Horrible.

[00:01:13] The mother blessed them with a healthy girl.

[00:01:16] Baby Coco surprised us all with her curly coat.

[00:01:20] So baby Coco.

[00:01:21] That's a perfect name.

[00:01:22] The reindeer calf.

[00:01:23] All right.

[00:01:24] Yeah.

[00:01:25] Here's another Brunswick farm getting on the action.

[00:01:27] Hay Farms, little less known farm.

[00:01:30] But still in Brunswick.

[00:01:32] Everybody knows trick and the horse, right?

[00:01:33] Oh yeah.

[00:01:34] This is Haley.

[00:01:35] And those are hermans, right?

[00:01:36] Yeah.

[00:01:37] This is Haley from Hay Farm.

[00:01:38] It looks like she had a couple goats named Raven and Chewy.

[00:01:42] And if you don't know about Hay Farms, she sells farm goods such as eggs and goat

[00:01:49] milk and rotisserie style chicken and pork, rabbit pellets and other stuff.

[00:01:55] Where are they located?

[00:01:56] They're over.

[00:01:57] I don't know.

[00:01:58] They're here in Brunswick, but I don't know where they're located.

[00:02:00] Oh, well that narrows it down.

[00:02:01] All right.

[00:02:02] Well we'll figure it out in the next episode.

[00:02:04] But they also do horse lessons and they do rentals and farm photo shoots and stuff

[00:02:11] like that.

[00:02:12] Well those two are very adorable so they would be very photogenic.

[00:02:17] So speaking of photogenic, this firefighters family is so photogenic and we want to congratulate

[00:02:23] firefighter Brad White, firefighter of the year award.

[00:02:27] And thank you very much, sir, for your service and for your dedication to the department in

[00:02:33] the community.

[00:02:34] We appreciate you.

[00:02:35] Yeah.

[00:02:36] Fire Chief Glauner said he goes above and beyond in the community, particularly with his work

[00:02:40] with Special Olympics and volunteer activities during that presentation.

[00:02:44] Very nice.

[00:02:45] Way to go, sir.

[00:02:46] Well congratulations, sir.

[00:02:48] And speaking of the city.

[00:02:50] Yeah.

[00:02:51] Here's another one.

[00:02:52] It's a bronze week introduced legislation prohibiting camping on public property.

[00:02:56] They will create an ordinance to prohibit, I mean I didn't know you could do it to begin

[00:03:01] with but now there'll be an ordinance in place to stop that.

[00:03:05] They said it's not a crime to be homeless and we cannot make it a criminal matter where

[00:03:09] they don't have the resources and we can't assist either.

[00:03:13] But this comes at the same time that Medina County is building a homeless shelter.

[00:03:19] So unfortunately under this law everyone will not be able to camp on city property because

[00:03:24] there will be a homeless shelter in the area that they could go to if they choose to.

[00:03:29] Hopefully we can get plugged in with them once they have that in place and maybe supply

[00:03:32] them with some goods and help out.

[00:03:35] So let's see, speaking of supplying with goods, you know I like to segue all these,

[00:03:39] right?

[00:03:40] Ohio Pi is back at it again.

[00:03:42] They're down at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse with not only their cookies but their pizza

[00:03:47] and then I was listening the other day to the Cavs pregame stuff and the woman brought,

[00:03:54] I think it was Carmen DeAngelo on 1100 a pizza and she's like it's from Ohio Pi and so that

[00:04:01] was kind of cool.

[00:04:02] They got a little shout out on the radio but you'll see the picture there of lots of

[00:04:06] cookies, lots of pizza, 117 pizza and 400 cookies and a bunch of mediocre salads

[00:04:13] and fast.

[00:04:14] He always advertises salads as mediocre.

[00:04:17] You know there's no such thing as a good salad except for that buffalo chicken salad at

[00:04:22] sidelines but we won't talk about that.

[00:04:24] So what else we got?

[00:04:26] We got, everybody knows that you have to have a permit to sell ice cream in the city

[00:04:31] of Brunswick and currently only Celeste Tasty Treats has a permit.

[00:04:35] It looks like the Brunswick police pulled over Tom and Jerry's ice cream for not

[00:04:40] having a permit.

[00:04:41] Yeah and I talked to Celeste about this and it's, you know she doesn't care about the

[00:04:46] competition.

[00:04:47] There's plenty to go around business to go around so that's not it.

[00:04:52] She just feels that after everything that she's gone through and has to go through

[00:04:55] every year that there should only be fear that everybody else does the same thing.

[00:05:01] So he did get a ticket for it and hopefully he gets the proper permit that he needs

[00:05:09] to and it's important too because they do background checks and so that keeps the kids

[00:05:15] safe.

[00:05:16] You're walking up to a van with somebody driving.

[00:05:19] Yeah.

[00:05:20] You don't know.

[00:05:21] I mean you want your kids to be safe.

[00:05:22] For sure.

[00:05:23] All right pay attention everybody.

[00:05:25] Oh man.

[00:05:26] Listen up and pay attention.

[00:05:28] I gotta tell ya.

[00:05:29] All right here's the spring and summer hours for Donut Land.

[00:05:32] Now they're closed on Mondays.

[00:05:34] They open again on Tuesdays at 12am and then they stay open all 24 hours until Sunday when

[00:05:40] they close at 6pm.

[00:05:42] What is the over and under?

[00:05:44] That once again I go up there like five times this summer on a Monday.

[00:05:48] On a Monday?

[00:05:49] I'd get really bad at myself for not remembering.

[00:05:51] I know.

[00:05:52] I need to tell my husband we've been on the sour cream donut kick.

[00:05:55] Oh my gosh that's so good.

[00:05:58] And I'm like alright they've got different hours now.

[00:06:01] He's like well everybody's closed on Monday.

[00:06:03] We just don't go anywhere on Monday.

[00:06:05] So check out their Facebook page if you need a reminder before you go up there and they'll

[00:06:12] be back open later.

[00:06:14] Yeah.

[00:06:15] They've done this a couple years now.

[00:06:16] They said they've done Mondays.

[00:06:18] They use it for training and trying and catching up and cleaning and other things and just

[00:06:22] kind of taking a little time off because it's gotta be a lot of work making all

[00:06:26] those donuts.

[00:06:27] And also if you haven't already they had a like a hoody TikTok Instagram big follower

[00:06:34] in there and they did a tour and stuff like that and put it out on Instagram and TikTok.

[00:06:41] So if you haven't seen that already make sure you go over to Donutlands Facebook page

[00:06:46] and see the people that came and visited and like I said they were foodies.

[00:06:49] So they said they were looking for a donut place and they had heard all about donut

[00:06:55] land and so then they showed up.

[00:06:57] So that's kind of exciting right?

[00:06:58] Yeah here's something exciting.

[00:07:00] I got a little wait here but June 1st Island Time Family Fun Center will be open seven

[00:07:05] days a week this year.

[00:07:07] Monday through Thursday evening, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

[00:07:11] Putt-putt batting cages and ice cream.

[00:07:14] Very nice.

[00:07:15] Look forward to them coming back again.

[00:07:17] You can never have too much ice cream right?

[00:07:19] Speaking of which it's not really ice cream sorry.

[00:07:22] Rosetti's frozen custard in the menu is off for May so take a look.

[00:07:27] I haven't tried them yet have you tried them?

[00:07:29] Yeah I've tried them like six times another time since the last time we didn't podcast.

[00:07:36] Just to make sure.

[00:07:37] Seven times yeah.

[00:07:39] My wife had the almond joy and I had a peanut butter malt man that malt was fantastic.

[00:07:47] Was it?

[00:07:47] Yeah it was good but and then at the very bottom there was a little bit of

[00:07:50] malt that didn't get mixed in so you kind of get that at the end.

[00:07:55] It's very nice.

[00:07:56] Well I see sea salt caramel is on for tomorrow so maybe that'll be my day.

[00:08:01] That's like a weakness of mine.

[00:08:03] I'm gonna hold on for that.

[00:08:05] We even have a Cinco de Mayo.

[00:08:07] I saw that I wonder if that's a little spicy.

[00:08:10] I don't know that would be weird.

[00:08:11] Mexican scent.

[00:08:13] That'd be really weird.

[00:08:14] Maybe.

[00:08:15] So check them out if you haven't checked them out already.

[00:08:17] Rosetti's right across from St. Ambrose.

[00:08:20] You know it's amazing.

[00:08:21] I mean people would be like where is these places and like you live in Brunswick?

[00:08:25] Come on.

[00:08:26] All right all right let's head over to Roger at Houndstown and see

[00:08:30] what pet he's got adoptable for this week.

[00:08:36] Hey guys it's Roger from Houndstown with my weekly update just letting you know that this

[00:08:40] week we have Bella Jane with us from Brea Animal Rescue.

[00:08:45] She's a six-year-old boltarrier mix.

[00:08:49] She's a sweet girl.

[00:08:50] She's got an underbite.

[00:08:51] The pictures if you check out posts we have both on our Houndstown-Brunswick site or on the

[00:08:57] some of the other social sites out there.

[00:08:59] You'll see some different pictures and video of her interacting with the dogs since she's been here.

[00:09:05] And she is up for adoption.

[00:09:06] We'd love to have anybody in anybody who is interested call us and set up a meet and greet.

[00:09:13] She will be back at Brea Animal Rescue tomorrow in Sunday so Saturday and Sunday.

[00:09:19] If people want to check her out while she's there.

[00:09:22] And then just a couple of other things.

[00:09:24] Always remember you can go to Brea Animal Rescue site and they have not only pictures of

[00:09:32] Bella Jane but the other dogs that they have up for foster as well as cats.

[00:09:36] And then lastly here at Houndstown we are a fully interactive doggy daycare overnight

[00:09:51] We've got 7700 square foot of space in six different interactive play areas.

[00:09:57] And then we've got 44 overnight suites.

[00:09:59] If you haven't checked us out yet we give you your first day free.

[00:10:02] And we'd love to have you come in and get that evaluation done especially as we're

[00:10:06] heading into summer and people need places for their dogs to stay while they go on vacation.

[00:10:10] So we need to get that evaluation out of the way before you could board or do daycare with us.

[00:10:16] So give us a call we can set that up our number here.

[00:10:35] Have a great rest of the day.

[00:10:39] All right what a cute pooch.

[00:10:40] Oh my gosh so adorable and they're getting adopted so whatever you guys do keep doing it.
