[00:00:00] Welcome to The Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly.

[00:00:07] 44.

[00:00:12] So I didn't make it around town for a corn beef this week so I posted a poll asking the

[00:00:17] community who had the best corn beef.

[00:00:19] Top answer was 33% settled world Delhi.

[00:00:22] Yeah followed by people that say cooked home.

[00:00:25] Cooked it home.

[00:00:26] They cooked it home.

[00:00:27] So that's a valid option.

[00:00:29] The Brunswick VFW came in seconds, sidelines, hermins and other notable mentions was

[00:00:36] Ricos, Niners, Arbys, Arbys.

[00:00:40] And it says Ridos.

[00:00:41] Does Ridos have corn beef?

[00:00:43] I don't know.

[00:00:44] Couple people voted for them.

[00:00:45] Maybe they got Ricos and Ridos next up.

[00:00:47] Maybe.

[00:00:48] I don't know.

[00:00:49] Oh and back card was on there as well.

[00:00:50] So.

[00:00:51] Yeah that's one beef fan though so I don't.

[00:00:53] Yeah no.

[00:00:54] But it didn't know husband liked it so maybe next time we'll swing by Old World

[00:00:59] Delhi and they always have it so we can always stop by there and give it if you missed

[00:01:03] out on St. Patrick's Day.

[00:01:05] I see you found out that I was sneaking around town to try to do some reconnaissance called

[00:01:10] me Carla Monday.

[00:01:11] Yeah.

[00:01:12] You know, I wanted to know what's going on inside El Taco Locoh and you said you saw

[00:01:17] an open door.

[00:01:18] And you took it.

[00:01:19] People can't leave their doors propped open around Brunswick because I just tend to walk

[00:01:24] right in and I guess the gentleman was hard at work and it was extremely dusty and they

[00:01:27] were sanding or grinding something so I just very cautiously and quietly back out and

[00:01:32] all stop another day but I think it's going to be another Mexican restaurant.

[00:01:36] I think you're right.

[00:01:37] Yeah and the activity shows that it's going to happen sooner than later.

[00:01:40] Right.

[00:01:41] They're moving on it and then also all that furniture got cleared out that CNBros was storing

[00:01:46] because the pack shop is going in there so.

[00:01:49] Equine essentials.

[00:01:50] Yeah, I saw that they were finishing up their consignment over in their old place in

[00:01:55] Avon so that they can come here and start a fresh.

[00:01:58] Yeah, that'll be exciting.

[00:01:59] Get some life in that plaza.

[00:02:00] That's great.

[00:02:01] Another news.

[00:02:02] Earlier this week we had Councilman Nickanick and Brandon Lambert did another question

[00:02:07] and answer on our group.

[00:02:09] Had some engagement there answered all the questions during those two hours.

[00:02:13] You know, it's really nice for them to come and engage the community in such a way

[00:02:17] and get everyone's answers answered.

[00:02:19] Good.

[00:02:20] I love the transparency and the fact that they're willing to do that so I'm into the people.

[00:02:25] Did you see Councilman Lambert's post earlier in the week of how he blamed the lack of

[00:02:31] Olive Garden on Lucas and Kimberly?

[00:02:34] I did.

[00:02:35] I'm not sure who this Lucas and Kimberly are that he's speaking of.

[00:02:40] Yeah, it's still differently but apparently.

[00:02:43] It's spelled very different.

[00:02:45] Yeah, evidently and some people didn't catch the sarcasm.

[00:02:49] I really think there's really people mad that we have three federal congressmen that

[00:02:55] worked with us to stop Olive Garden.

[00:02:58] They believe it.

[00:02:59] Oh my gosh.

[00:03:00] But anyway, thanks to Councilman Brandon Lambert for having some fun with that and also

[00:03:07] trustee from the Township Brian Nixon who said he would launch a full investigative session

[00:03:13] because I live in the township.

[00:03:15] So, oh boy.

[00:03:17] That was that was a little bit of fun.

[00:03:20] Yeah.

[00:03:22] Speaking of leadership, new service director, but when the funds were came from the township.

[00:03:27] Yeah, director Paul Megavack.

[00:03:29] Yeah, so congratulations to him on that promotion and moving over to the city.

[00:03:35] Yeah, sure.

[00:03:36] He'll do some great things over here.

[00:03:37] Yeah, good guy.

[00:03:38] I had a couple encounters with him and he was very responsive.

[00:03:42] The department led the way he led it was very good.

[00:03:45] So.

[00:03:46] And it was a severe weather awareness week.

[00:03:48] So we got to hear the tornado siren on Wednesday at 9.50.

[00:03:52] You only went off for a couple of seconds.

[00:03:54] It's not like the one Saturday and month one.

[00:03:56] That's very quick.

[00:03:57] Yeah.

[00:03:58] Which is good.

[00:03:59] Well, we figured they just used it so.

[00:04:00] Which is good.

[00:04:01] It's a good week to do it because they had all kinds of, I mean, I saw hail early, like Sunday,

[00:04:05] Monday.

[00:04:06] And then.

[00:04:07] Yeah, it's been a little crazy.

[00:04:08] It's been all over and we just want to remind everybody too that those sirens are for outdoor

[00:04:15] notifications.

[00:04:16] They're not meant to penetrate the walls of your home and your television and your radio

[00:04:21] and your iPods and your buds or whatever.

[00:04:25] Those are really to notify people outside.

[00:04:27] So you see severe weather.

[00:04:29] You kind of know it's coming.

[00:04:30] Just stay tuned to heavy stations, radio, that kind of stuff.

[00:04:36] And then speaking of emergencies and first responders, bronzer kills, firefighters wrapped

[00:04:40] up.

[00:04:41] I think this week was the last one or maybe, you know, maybe it was a couple more fire

[00:04:44] academy for residents.

[00:04:46] You get to go once a week for a couple of weeks and find out what it all entails to become

[00:04:50] a fireman and to be a firefighter and hands on with equipment and stuff like that.

[00:04:55] So a handful of residents took advantage of that.

[00:04:57] Looks pretty hands on.

[00:04:58] Oh, you know, they put your own gloves and you break.

[00:05:00] I haven't done it but yeah.

[00:05:01] We've got windows and operate the jaws of life and cut out windshields and see exactly what

[00:05:06] the first responders do when they're on the scene and trying to save lives.

[00:05:09] Right, exactly.

[00:05:11] Moving right along we've got some news from Teesas Summit Farm Market and Jessica over

[00:05:16] there.

[00:05:17] There's been some major changes to the facilities over there and so want to make sure

[00:05:22] that people are aware that stay away from the white ticket defense.

[00:05:27] The five you is no longer associated with the market.

[00:05:31] Take a look at the map, there's some view in and out roads once everybody gets the

[00:05:35] hang of it.

[00:05:36] They've got some big things planned and we look forward to that, look forward to the

[00:05:40] market opening.

[00:05:41] Yeah, I'm excited for their fresh fruits and vegetables and later on a season of corn

[00:05:44] so yeah all that good stuff.

[00:05:46] So a soft open is coming up on March 26th.

[00:05:50] Hickchop mostly so check them out.

[00:05:52] 360 Pearl Road if you don't know where they are across from the Eagles.

[00:05:56] Speaking of an open, Mercedes has been sighted to be open a couple different times here.

[00:06:01] Yeah, for a quick minute.

[00:06:02] Somebody said they had a pro when we're giving away free small cups or cones.

[00:06:06] Nice.

[00:06:07] I missed it but when they do announce their opening I'll be there.

[00:06:10] Great and here comes the babies over at Sprinkmas Farm.

[00:06:14] The kids I guess get the name the animals each year and this is a marvel theme here so

[00:06:20] welcome to Iron Man Born on the 13th Wednesday the 13th beautiful calf and sprinkles

[00:06:26] is the mom.

[00:06:27] We're both mom and baby you're doing well and we look forward to more post from Sprinkmas

[00:06:31] to see babies those are always a good one.

[00:06:34] And Roger dropped us in another message about an adoptable pet at Hounds Town in Brunswick.

[00:06:38] Let's take a listen.

[00:06:39] Okay.

[00:06:40] Hey guys, it's Roger from Hounds Town just wanted to reach out and give you an update

[00:06:45] on our fosters that we have.

[00:06:47] And here this week we have Hendrix who is a new two year old husky mix.

[00:06:52] He's going to be with us all week and then on Friday afternoon we'll be heading back

[00:06:57] to Bria and I'll rescue for the weekend but he's super gentle.

[00:07:01] Great car rider loves given kisses and then we also have I umi back with us as well.

[00:07:07] We featured here last week as well and she's a sweet girl and we hope to find both of

[00:07:12] them forever homes again if anybody's interested in learning more about either of them you can

[00:07:17] check out our Facebook page at Hounds Town Cleveland Brunswick or you can go into the

[00:07:21] Bria animal rescue site and see all of the dogs in cats that they have available.

[00:07:27] Also just remember that we do offer your first day free if anybody does want to come

[00:07:31] in with their pups and check us out for both daycare or boarding obviously we're heading

[00:07:35] into spring break season so if anybody needs a place for their pup while they go on

[00:07:40] spring break we'd love to have you in come in and check us out.

[00:07:44] Hope everybody has a great weekend and again they'll probably be back in the morning

[00:07:47] or back with us next week if we don't get them adopted off this weekend.

[00:07:51] Have a good day and have a good weekend.

[00:07:52] So I think we're going to go into things to do in the 2-1-2.

[00:07:56] We do want to remind everybody about the lobster truck here today, both the seven over

[00:08:01] in front of Applebee so check them out.

[00:08:02] They've been coming a lot.

[00:08:03] I saw the other one.

[00:08:04] It's like the second time in two weeks I think.

[00:08:06] I saw the other one, Nadi Lobster they don't come around very often but they're coming

[00:08:10] to the diner later on in the month it might be lobster versus lobster's their composition

[00:08:15] coming up soon here.

[00:08:16] I've had both.

[00:08:17] I think they're both very good.

[00:08:19] Next Tuesday March 26 at Tangle Vine is tarot Tuesday for just five dollars you can get

[00:08:24] a five minute reading she'll be there from six to eight, Kinsley will get their close

[00:08:29] to six and you can sign up for a spot.

[00:08:31] It's also Tuesday which means wine flights and flat breads are five dollars off so you

[00:08:35] can grab some of those while you wait in turn.

[00:08:37] Yeah we went and did the coffee flights.

[00:08:40] Yeah good.

[00:08:41] Made with the moonshine stuff good stuff.

[00:08:43] Yeah very good stuff highly recommend and then they had a brunch buffet border brunch

[00:08:48] board or something it was called so you want to go fishing I guess.

[00:08:53] So tell me with this one well get out of fish from a dining county park district has

[00:08:56] a challenge for anybody that's interested.

[00:08:59] Fish at five or more designated fishing areas and then you can be entered for an award.

[00:09:04] Very nice.

[00:09:05] A couple places nearby in Brunswick plum creek north is one plum creek park south is one

[00:09:10] you can probably bang that out one day.

[00:09:13] They got Brunswick Lake of course and then there's a couple of events on April 20th in May

[00:09:18] 11th and then other places throughout Madeinah County, Chipawalek, Kilbock Lake Madeinah, River

[00:09:24] Sticks Park, a couple other ones in there.

[00:09:27] So if you're into fishing and complete that challenge they also have a YouTube page madeinah

[00:09:31] County Park district YouTube page that gives you some fishing instructions and other information

[00:09:36] you can check them out on their website.

[00:09:38] So moving right along this is Brunswick skate station with what looks like to be a very

[00:09:44] jam packed evening.

[00:09:45] It's a glow skate so this Thursday April 18th we'll remind you again that one's out

[00:09:49] a little bit but we'll remind you again 630-830 where your knee on and glow in the dark

[00:09:54] on for the whole family and there's a whole list of things face painting photo booth games

[00:09:59] prizes 5050 raffle glow stuff again it's Thursday April 18th at 30 to 830.

[00:10:07] And Saturday Manzo's sports and spirits 65 pro road they have foo fathers yes it's exactly

[00:10:14] what you think it is.

[00:10:16] Older gentleman gentlemen out they're not a tribute band although it sounds like it

[00:10:20] they play 90s alternative in 80s rock cover so I've heard them sounds there a good time.

[00:10:26] It sounds like something a lot of people might like.

[00:10:28] Are you saving the best for last tell us about it Kimberly.

[00:10:31] We have all worked hard on this and it's so exciting to see it come together once again

[00:10:36] just the business is stepped up we've got the adult Easter egg hunt tomorrow starts as early

[00:10:41] as 10 o'clock whenever you want to get over there and go and goes to about 11 o'clock at night.

[00:10:46] So there's a list of businesses that you can go and get an egg from and then you come

[00:10:52] back to the know your from Bronzoic if page is the important part you give a shout out

[00:10:56] to the business that you visited plus the business that you won from because every egg

[00:11:00] has a prize in it once you do that one egg per location you get entered into a drawing

[00:11:05] and then we will do the live drawing on Sunday March 24th at one o'clock and I think

[00:11:10] we're going to do that over probably at Bronzoic grab and go because they're open on Sunday.

[00:11:14] So nice.

[00:11:16] And you entered for the golden egg the grand prize is the golden egg if I could just run it

[00:11:21] down real quick and then we'll do another shout out to all the businesses that participated

[00:11:25] and make sure we have it up there but the golden egg prize you ready for this a thousand dollar

[00:11:30] yard makeover from she escapes.

[00:11:34] So we're going to do a lot of Tito's from sidelines and auto detailing package from unique

[00:11:40] detail LLC.

[00:11:41] I need that custom made fire put from Medina County welding man gift certificate from

[00:11:47] Kiles cafe so you get to eat yourself around the fire and drink.

[00:11:51] It sounds like almost $1,500 or $1,600 in prizes.

[00:11:54] I'm not even done yet.

[00:11:56] You ready?

[00:11:57] Yeah.

[00:11:58] We're giving away at $50 reinforced gift card courtesy of Bronzoic group therapy podcast

[00:12:02] fair trade is throwing in a tower fan to keep cool this summer.

[00:12:05] Donut land is giving a donut cake basket galore as this boozy gift basket and then not

[00:12:11] to be forgotten here.

[00:12:13] Celeste didn't want to give ice cream so she's going to give the next best thing for

[00:12:16] her margaritas.

[00:12:17] That she's got a package that has a margarita machine and the tequila and the mix and

[00:12:23] all that good stuff.

[00:12:24] So all right.

[00:12:25] So let me make sure I got the steps down right you go to one of these dozen or so places

[00:12:29] and you get an egg.

[00:12:30] That egg contains a prize for not necessarily that business but another business possibly

[00:12:36] then you take the egg you go on you know you're from Bronzoic if in post that you got an egg

[00:12:40] from one place and you wonder from another place and then by doing that you're entered into

[00:12:46] the golden egg drawing.

[00:12:47] Correct.

[00:12:48] All right.

[00:12:49] Pretty easy.

[00:12:50] Yeah man it sounds like fun.

[00:12:51] Yep.

[00:12:52] And one per person per place so you can put you to visit all the places.

[00:12:54] Yeah.

[00:12:55] Yeah.

[00:12:56] So you've got what seven nine something like that I don't know I lost track.

[00:13:01] So just there's a list of all the hunt locations go to all of them.

[00:13:05] There's I've had some really cute comments and once they're making a date day out of it

[00:13:09] so that's kind of fun.

[00:13:11] And make sure you post your thing by midnight.

[00:13:14] I'm March 23rd because if we're going to draw the next day and we'll need to go through

[00:13:18] a mixture we have everybody baskets galore is I have to give them another shout out.

[00:13:22] They stepped up big time.

[00:13:24] They really know what the 21 and over crowd loves so let me just tell you and there'll

[00:13:29] be alcohol in some of those eggs so just so you guys know.

[00:13:33] Nice.

[00:13:34] And it's very easy to buy anything we do hope that you look around the store and maybe

[00:13:41] buy something while you're in there but definitely you know stop by all these locations have

[00:13:46] a good time with us and we need them for the drawing on Sunday.

[00:13:50] Yeah.

[00:13:51] Good luck.

[00:13:52] Brunswick and have a good time and I think that's all we have for the week.

[00:13:56] I think that'll be it.

[00:13:57] You guys have a good one and we'll see you around town.

[00:13:59] Bye.
