[00:00:00] Welcome to The Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly.

[00:00:30] Welcome to The Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas Merkel and Kimberly.

[00:01:01] I said, are you Kimberly and I said, you pens? Am I stepping back or is this going to be a pleasant conversation?

[00:01:07] He said, I just binge listened to your podcast and went and got my 50% off oil change at Kasta.

[00:01:17] And what did he sell? Oh, and then he was there at regional Stinking Hoses because we talked about them.

[00:01:22] He didn't know about the podcast and found out about it. And he and his wife are excited because they have a couple of youngsters.

[00:01:29] And so Mark, if you're listening, thank you.

[00:01:31] I guess we're doing it because we enjoy it. But feedback like that is always welcome and appreciated.

[00:01:37] I know it makes me feel good when somebody says, hey, I love your podcast. So yeah, there was a lot of fun. It was great meeting him and having that, you know, there was a couple other people.

[00:01:46] One other, the mom of the owner bath. You know, she said, I listen to the podcast all the time. And so tell a friend, all right.

[00:01:53] Yeah, what else you got in other news? Brunswick got their credit rating upgraded from A A 2 to A A 1.

[00:01:59] So that will save on interest costs for the new fire station. It'll be less expensive to pay for over the long term.

[00:02:07] A A 2 and A A 1 are pretty good credit score. So they must be doing something right with their money.

[00:02:11] Oh, that's good. Yeah. Good. Glad to hear that. Good.

[00:02:14] Save us a little bit of money. That's always a good thing. I guess spend a lot of money.

[00:02:18] Spend it more on roads or something else. Right. While speaking of roads, I'm just tearing up the roadways lately.

[00:02:25] But I show of some sort was back last weekend and well over 100 cars.

[00:02:32] Yes, I managed 400 to 500 over the course of the, yeah, well, it filled up the whole parking lot there where Brunswick, grab and go is.

[00:02:40] And then there was probably five rows over at Laurel Square.

[00:02:43] Yeah, so it looked like a good event. Nobody crashed the place or anything like that.

[00:02:48] A year over at Brunswick, grab and go. Good job on that. The only thing I saw was some people were upset about

[00:02:54] about engines and racing and going a little too fast down the world.

[00:02:57] So yeah, there were several complaints. The police were called several times.

[00:03:02] A couple of tickets were issued for squealing tires.

[00:03:06] And then there were some videos online of some cars going a little bit too fast. A couple of them all running rubber.

[00:03:11] Well, and I don't know if you did you watch any of their other videos from other places?

[00:03:15] So this seems to be a particular club in general and they have a tradition of when they leave they kind of make a loud exit kind of thing.

[00:03:23] So I think it just keeps being reiterated to them that look you're in a residential neighborhood when you leave.

[00:03:30] So you know, it's not crazy and stuff like that. But I think it was great to see people gather in a car show even though it wasn't the old classics.

[00:03:38] It would be great to see both I think the classics and the new ones.

[00:03:42] Yeah, that would be awesome.

[00:03:43] 500 cars, you had a couple of clowns. You know as long as police are called and they come and take care of it.

[00:03:49] I don't have a problem with it. I think it's really great. There was lots of lots of money being spent in those businesses that we can do.

[00:03:56] Great job again to Brunswick, Rob and go getting that together.

[00:04:00] But I'm a nice event. We're looking forward to the next one.

[00:04:05] I grab this from another page. I know it's not Brunswick, but I'm inkly like there's some great pictures showing all the work that's being done over there.

[00:04:14] So if you're interested, check that out.

[00:04:17] The North Park is coming along real well. It's completely drained and dry and they're waiting on for some information from a company to get those next steps roll in where they're going to dread.

[00:04:25] It's going to be a great job.

[00:04:27] We can look forward to that in the fall being completed.

[00:04:30] Oh good. They'll soon they get that done. A lot of people will be happy. They can have that park back.

[00:04:35] So I also want to draw attention to our hound of the week.

[00:04:39] They had one up and by the time I could get it ready for us to record today, the dog was adopted.

[00:04:45] That's awesome.

[00:04:46] This one's a cute one.

[00:04:47] That's an awesome thing.

[00:04:48] This one's cute. The doorbell almost looks well.

[00:04:50] I was going to say pity, but it doesn't have a circle just as the black eye part.

[00:04:53] A yummy. I think it's the name of that dog is a sweet girl over at Hunstown go check out Hunstown Cleveland dash Brunswick Facebook page if you're interested in adopting a pup adorable girl adorable girl.

[00:05:08] So what else we got?

[00:05:10] So one of our fuel good posts of the week was one that has over 1,300 likes.

[00:05:17] We haven't had that many likes on a long, long time, but this is a good one.

[00:05:20] This is a gentleman collapsed walking into Myers and he had a massive heart attack and a cashier and a nurse just a bunch of people jumped in and you know he's going to be fine.

[00:05:32] If I'm reading through the comments and stuff like that, but way to go it's you guys save this man's life.

[00:05:38] And so it's just amazing nurse nurse's name is Tiffany performed CPR and all that stuff.

[00:05:44] And so everybody came together and literally you saved his life.

[00:05:47] So awesome. That's feel good story of the week well done fantastic about this one.

[00:05:53] And I like this one. Did you see that did you pretty interesting actually somebody reposted this this is Chrissy Rhodes an old story that she did about the center of Brunswick and how the center of Brunswick started as swampy land with a wood in bridge across it and then it was made into a circle.

[00:06:09] And there's some old buildings there and then one of the buildings actually is the methods church that still stands today and the photo that you guys are looking at.

[00:06:17] It don't see the date actually but it's just it's amazing I just I wish it was like a country store or something right there on the corner so it's something fine.

[00:06:27] It was you know got a lot of attention and Chrissy always post good stuff.

[00:06:31] So we will look for more stories coming from her.

[00:06:34] Yeah it's pretty cool it says that in the 30s it was changed from a circle to an intersection and flashers were added where they had only red and green lights and change from one color to another.

[00:06:44] It even talks about a speed trap or something.

[00:06:47] Yeah they use it as a speed trap in the 30s Brunswick police learned it a long time ago.

[00:06:54] Well that was Lucas said that by the way.

[00:06:57] Brunswick City Place just so you know that was Lucas said that.

[00:07:00] Now I love the police.
