[00:00:00] Welcome to The Brunswick Group Therapy Podcast with Lucas and Kimberly.

[00:00:07] He sounds like a little new staffer.

[00:00:15] We're back in person, episode 34.

[00:00:18] I want to remind everybody that North Park is now closed.

[00:00:21] They started emptying out for the dredging process while I was at City Hall earlier

[00:00:26] this week.

[00:00:27] They found out that they're going to take all the dirt that they dredge out and build a second snow hill.

[00:00:33] Really?

[00:00:34] Yeah, did you know that's where that first snow hill came from?

[00:00:36] Didn't know that.

[00:00:37] From last time they dredged.

[00:00:38] That's what it sounded like.

[00:00:39] So we get a new snow hill every 20 years?

[00:00:41] Yes, that would do.

[00:00:42] But they said all the fish were saved and they're ready to start that year long process.

[00:00:47] I'm sure it'll go quick.

[00:00:49] And like I said before, it'll give everybody an opportunity to try some of the other parks out.

[00:00:55] We got some car break ins and stuff going on.

[00:00:58] Yeah, several cars were broken into on Carpenter Road and then a few more last week over by Boston and Pearl.

[00:01:04] It says some of these people left 4,000 in gift cards and $400 rings in their cars.

[00:01:08] Stop it.

[00:01:09] Please do not do that.

[00:01:10] Are you sure?

[00:01:11] You know, I don't know if that's true but that's what the police report should.

[00:01:15] That's what they told the insurance company.

[00:01:17] Okay, whatever.

[00:01:18] So keep it valuable.

[00:01:19] Come on, people.

[00:01:20] Oh, geez.

[00:01:21] Because that is an ongoing thing.

[00:01:24] Yeah, there's no there's no way to segue into this.

[00:01:27] Normally we got a good segue but we'll just you know throw those one out there.

[00:01:31] Bronswick hired a new football coach.

[00:01:32] Got his name and stuff over there.

[00:01:35] Crickets.

[00:01:36] Yeah.

[00:01:37] Crickets.

[00:01:38] Yeah, but I'm not going to tell you.

[00:01:39] Yeah, his name is school.

[00:01:40] Yeah, his name.

[00:01:42] Yes, his name is Cole Carter.

[00:01:44] He is from Galia Academy, a division for public school.

[00:01:49] Also called the Blue Devils, that over by Ohio River.

[00:01:52] What a coincidence.

[00:01:53] So he's coming off of back to back nine and three season from his alma mater.

[00:01:58] Now hopefully he'll give us something similar.

[00:02:00] Interesting.

[00:02:01] Can't wait to see.

[00:02:02] Interesting.

[00:02:03] Time will tell, huh?

[00:02:04] Mm-hmm.

[00:02:05] All right, you pick this one.

[00:02:06] What's this one about?

[00:02:07] It's the Medina County Historical Society letting everyone know that they have specially licensed plates available through the Ohio BMV.

[00:02:13] For a $15 contribution plus an extra $10 to the BMV.

[00:02:17] So $25 a year in addition to your normal tag renewal fee.

[00:02:20] You can have a Medina County Historical Society license plate while helping to support the Historical Society.

[00:02:27] Nice.

[00:02:28] Volunteers are needed over at the Hospital Society, right?

[00:02:32] I'll see Segway.

[00:02:33] Here we go.

[00:02:34] Now we're back into it.

[00:02:35] Volunteers are needed and I can't read that really small writing.

[00:02:38] At the Bronswick Area Historical Society, they're looking at the historical society.

[00:02:42] They're looking for volunteers to help the children out.

[00:02:45] They've got a lot of work they need done.

[00:02:47] Planning programs, setting up tables, some computer work, assist during presentations.

[00:02:52] Be a presenter yourself.

[00:02:53] You know, all volunteers will have a mentor until they feel comfortable performing the work or whatnot.

[00:02:58] We often see people asking, you know, where can I volunteer or where come my kids volunteer?

[00:03:03] Here you go.

[00:03:04] There's a perfect opportunity for it.

[00:03:06] A lot of tireys.

[00:03:07] Welcome for something to do.

[00:03:08] Right.

[00:03:09] How about this new nail salon spotted opening up in Laurel Square?

[00:03:11] It's not a pizza joint and it's not a vape store and it's not a dollar general.

[00:03:17] Some in.

[00:03:18] Yeah, ESVJ nails and spa.

[00:03:20] Nice.

[00:03:21] Welcome to Bronswick.

[00:03:22] Yeah, we'll take it.

[00:03:23] We'll take it.

[00:03:24] There's been brown stuff all over the place and key profits announced today that through tomorrow Saturday at five o'clock they're going to be running 20% off all their browns merch.

[00:03:34] So go browns.

[00:03:36] Go browns.

[00:03:37] Yep.

[00:03:38] One of the only ways they cover after prom events you can purchase tickets through their QR code or search Bronswick High School after prom.

[00:03:45] Yeti fundraiser.

[00:03:46] The first prize receives a tundra haul wheeled cooler.

[00:03:55] It's valued at 450 plus some extra prizes.

[00:03:58] Second prize is a Rodi 48 wheel cooler.

[00:04:01] And third prize is a Hopper M 20 backpack soft cooler.

[00:04:05] You're speaking yeti.

[00:04:06] Yeah, I know.

[00:04:07] Winners will be announced on February 4th.

[00:04:10] There is some other prizes in there not just for a second or third.

[00:04:13] So get yourself a ticket or two and help support the After Prom Committee to create a special

[00:04:18] memorable event for the students of that.

[00:04:20] Shouldn't that be the biggest fundraiser yet?

[00:04:22] Oh, see?

[00:04:23] Play on words there.

[00:04:24] Say?

[00:04:25] Nice.

[00:04:26] Alright, what else we got?

[00:04:27] That's it.

[00:04:28] Oh no, I have something here.

[00:04:29] Any up?

[00:04:30] Yeah, it's, I don't know because you put it out here but didn't read it.

[00:04:34] Let me see.

[00:04:35] They packed the pantry at City Hall.

[00:04:37] Oh yeah, they're accepting perishable good donations at City Hall now through the end of

[00:04:41] the month to help pack the food pantry.

[00:04:43] They do this each January to help replenish the needs of the community.

[00:04:47] You can drop that off during normal business hours at City Hall.

[00:04:50] There's boxes just outside of the council chambers.

[00:04:53] Perfect.

[00:04:54] So we're going to take a quick break and when we come back we'll talk about a few events

[00:04:57] in Round Town.

[00:04:58] We'll be back in a second.

[00:05:00] Hey as much as we'd like to hear our own voices we really want to hear from you.

[00:05:03] Once it goes at Brunswick Group there be dot com and find that microphone button and

[00:05:07] leave us a message.

[00:05:08] We really do want to hear from you.

[00:05:10] Have a great day everybody.

[00:05:11] See you soon.

[00:05:12] And we're back.

[00:05:13] We've got a couple of events here going on.

[00:05:19] January 27th and a mother son family Valentine's dance February 10th.

[00:05:25] The information for those is available at the Diamond Event Center Facebook page tickets

[00:05:29] are $20 per person and can be ordered through event bright.

[00:05:32] Yeah they just came off a very busy Christmas Santa extravaganza over there.

[00:05:38] So continuing to do good things.

[00:05:40] Alright I got three Dined to donate events going on this week coming up so if you go

[00:05:45] all three of those you only have to cook four dinners that week.

[00:07:19] Have you ever been to one?

[00:07:20] No.

[00:07:21] I've been to one and it was a wing night.

[00:07:23] No, it was in a wing night.

[00:07:25] It was a murder mystery but who was it for?

[00:07:27] It was very interesting.

[00:07:28] We had a lot of fun.

[00:07:29] My wife went to one.

[00:07:30] She said she had fun.

[00:07:31] What do we got this?

[00:07:32] Rustic CLE Skyline Patenship at Niners Diner.

[00:07:50] They're getting popular again.

[00:07:51] So yeah.

[00:07:52] You could turn them in every Tuesday night at Ignite Brewing.

[00:07:56] I want to remind you about that but also this coming Saturday, the 20th, go back in time

[00:08:01] with the 90s so dust off your starter jacket and your jenkel jeans and...

[00:08:05] I was going to say look it's like a fun band.

[00:08:07] It's not a band.

[00:08:08] They're just having a 90s night party.

[00:08:09] Oh really?

[00:08:10] It's just...

[00:08:11] They got a DJ.

[00:08:12] They're going to have a DJ, a photo booth and you know it's just a good time.

[00:08:16] It's going to be debon.

[00:08:17] Debon.

[00:08:18] Nice.

[00:08:19] And that's all I got for this week.

[00:08:21] Wow, well that's a lot.

[00:08:23] Yeah.

[00:08:24] Got some other exciting stuff that I don't quite want to...

[00:08:26] You know?

[00:08:27] No.

[00:08:28] We'll tease you a little bit.

[00:08:29] We do have a special interview coming up.

[00:08:31] We got a major retailer looking to do a remodel.

[00:08:34] Yep.

[00:08:35] Not just big lots.

[00:08:36] Somebody else.

[00:08:37] Market 42 is going to start building their building in March.

[00:08:41] Nope.

[00:08:42] And they put up the Dora signs for the designated outdoor refreshment area.

[00:08:45] Did they?

[00:08:46] So it won't be long before spring, spring, spring, spring spring.

[00:08:49] Spring is sprung.

[00:08:51] And we'll be drinking alcohol outside.

[00:08:53] We can't eat somebody in that old geeked out location.

[00:08:55] Mm-hmm.

[00:08:56] Yeah.

[00:08:57] All right, Brunswick.

[00:08:58] All right, that'll do it.
