Got the, um, summer movie series next Wednesday at Hickory Ridge Cinemas. They're playing Happy Feet. Of course, it's only $2 for that, uh, 10am morning,

[00:01:15] matinee. We'll put all the sponsors on the screen next week. Um, that's how they can make it so inexpensive. So, we had some businesses step up and, uh, help with that. So, we appreciate that. Yeah. Alright, without you here, I'm doing everything. Oh, man. Alright. I feel horrible. Wait a minute. I don't do anything and I'm there either.

[00:01:51] I'm sitting next to you. Alright. I just forgot to move it to the next one. Alright, uh, here's some exciting news. Brunswick KFC on Center Road, uh, was purchased by OLIO Development Group. Um, they did a PR Newswire that said that they purchased it and, uh, we don't know what it's gonna be, but we do know that, um, there's a couple businesses that they work with primarily.

[00:02:22] And, uh, one of those businesses, the most popular is, uh, what is it? Canes? Raising Canes? Yeah. Chicken strips? Yep. But there was also a, um, Crap? Healthy option that sounded kind of exciting that we don't have. Um, I forget the name of it. What is it? Uh, somebody throw it in the comments. Do you know, Kim? Let me look.

[00:02:51] It's Mediterranean. I know that. There's one in Columbus. I know that. Cava? Is that the name of it? Cava. That's what it is. Cava. Yeah. So we'll have to see, um, Ew, Shake Shack? Ugh, no thank you. We know it's not a Panda Express. Right, well it could be. I mean, we have, uh, we have two Taco Bells, a couple McDonald's, it could be two Pandas.

[00:03:21] One for eastbound and one for westbound. Alright, so stay tuned and, uh, as soon as Lucas finds something, he'll let you know. I'm on it. Right? Yeah. Oh, I thought this was kind of cool. What'd you, uh, what'd you think? Uh, you're gonna have to be on the camera. With the stranded, the stranded teen with the broken dirt bike. Oh, yay, yay! A ton of attention.

[00:03:49] We got, I think over a thousand, thousand people saw it. So I thought that was, I thought that was really cool. Yeah. Um, young man's, um, what was it, motorbike? Or maybe a, I forget what they called it though, actually. Well, they called it a dirt bike, but. Yeah, probably wasn't a big dirt bike. He's a little kid. Yeah. I mean, he's a little in stature. But anyway, um, his friends left him.

[00:04:19] Ooh. I think he might need some new friends. Maybe they went to go get help. After his bike broke down. And I think it, uh, okay, let's think of it that way, hopefully. Um, but in the meantime, a couple of, uh, Brunswick Hills Township, um, officers came by and helped him out. And then somebody, I saw on one of the pages, I don't think it was this one actually. He said, is this your child?

[00:04:48] He came to our door and then I saw the police pull up. Is he okay? And so he did go to somebody's house for help, but, um, they weren't home. So PD just happened to come by at the perfect time. And, um, as always, we're grateful for them. So they helped him out. Um, I know one of them's canine officer and I think the other gentleman is newer. The taller one is a newer officer. So, uh, 1.4,000 likes and loves on that one. Yeah.

[00:05:18] It was actually 33,000 views. Is that all? That's a good post to, uh, go viral. Yeah, that's a good one. I like that one. Um, so Tanya, we're glad that your son is, uh, okay. And glad he got out of the creek there. Yeah. Might have to get a spare battery for the dirt bike. All right. It's moving right along. Uh, moving right around.

[00:05:44] As officers spying on people, um, former spouses, girlfriends, interested, uh, people they're interested in, um, making sure that they're not spying on, uh, people protesting. Kimberly, hang up on me.

[00:06:14] Hello, Kimberly. Welcome back. All right. We're going to refine this for next time, but, uh, yeah. Um, so yeah, so back to it, uh, we were looking, you know, I'm looking for some transparency on, on how they're auditing, what they're allowed to do, what they're not allowed to do when they do do a search, what, uh, information are they putting in so that it can be easily audited?

[00:06:41] Um, who has access to it, those kinds of things. And, uh, hopefully as they create that policy, um, they include some of those things in the policy, including disciplinary action of what happens if it's misused. Um, you know, because there's a lot, a lot of people that love flock, a lot of people that don't like flock. And I think a great policy, uh, will bring those two sides closer together.

[00:07:06] Um, and obviously if the policy is properly enforced, you missed, you'll have to go back on replay and listen to all the things. I will. I'll listen to everything you said. Um, but I want to thank you for staying on top of this stuff. I mean, you bring the factual stuff to us. Mm-hmm. Um, we always say you're the factual, you're the research and factual guy. I'm just the party planner.

[00:07:35] So, um, I don't know more than that, but yeah, no, thank you for everything you do. I guess, uh, I guess that's what, that's what makes us a team unique. All right. What do we got next? Ying the yang. Yeah. Yeah. This one doesn't, this one doesn't fit on the screen properly, but, uh, Medina County Parks is offering a full slate of August nature programs. And I saw one that was nearby here.

[00:08:01] It was, uh, Jurassic in the park opens August 1st at the Susan Hambly Nature Center in Brunswick, where visitors can explore a dinosaur themed exhibit every Saturday and Sunday in August from noon to five. Very nice. Something else. Something else. Freebie for the kids, huh? Mm-hmm. Always like, uh, always like the free stuff. All right. I threw this one in. Yeah. Yep. Yep.

[00:08:30] I threw this in there because in case you, uh, didn't see this, uh, this is for the Medina County Emergency Management, um, alert system. Now this is different though, than what's the one that replaced code red. This is different than that one though, right? Yeah. The Brunswick one. There's a new Brunswick one, which actually went to my spam messages first time. So once you register, check your, go through your spam messages.

[00:09:00] Uh, but yeah, this one will be for the County and it's, uh, for tornadoes and, um, thunderstorms and flash flooding. Um, you can sign up through them to get a call, email, or text in the event of emergency. Um, and you can modify it of whether or not you want, um, all three of those or one of those or none of those for floods or, um, very, um, very editable, you know, cause

[00:09:30] I don't think I, I don't think I need a phone call or I want a phone call for a tornado, but probably don't want a phone call for a flash flood. Close to any creeks or, yeah. Um, but, uh, yeah, some people, some people, um, some people still rely on the, the, uh, sirens, you know, outside. Those are difficult to hear inside as they're not meant to be. Let's talk about those. Go for it.

[00:09:58] I was just going to say that every time, every time we bring up that topic of those sirens outside, people are like, well, I didn't hear them. Well, you're in your house. Those sirens are not designed to notify people indoors. They're notified people outdoors that may not be near a television or radio or something that's going to alert them to an emergency situation.

[00:10:24] So my goal, one of my many goals in life is to notify everybody the proper use of those. I'm glad we have them though, because we have had some wicked weather that's come through and, uh, they went off. So yeah, that's my soap box. Go ahead. Continue. No, no, that's good. I mean, if you're not near a phone or a, um, other device, well, that's a, that's a good

[00:10:50] viable second op second option, but, uh, you know, they're not always able to be heard inside of house. Sign up for this through the Medina County EMA emergency alert system. Also sign up for the new Brunswick one. I don't believe if you were signed up for code red, that they automatically signed you up for the, uh, new one. They might have to do that as well. Gotcha. Correct. And it's on the city's website. I can't think of the name of it right now, but it's on the city's website. So yeah. All right.

[00:11:20] Moving on. I think it's like flock something. I'm just kidding. All right. Let's get on to things to do in the two one two. Yeah. Moving along. We got, uh, the Panini's August live music schedule. Um, they do Saturdays six to 9 PM. And Sunday's five to eight.

[00:11:45] Uh, we don't talk about them too much because they don't create a Facebook posts for each Facebook events for each one. So I always forget to run back and check and look at the calendar. Uh, so mark all these down. Starting with Joe Bell and the swing lizards. Saturday, the first, the Saturday, Sparrow and the lost boys on Sunday. Um, the following week you have the stringer brothers and Sully Soto solo mid month. The other brothers and 10 cent, but buddy, Bobby and sent Bobby.

[00:12:14] It's funny that the other brothers is a week after the stringer brothers. Then Saturday, 22, you got Zach, the singing bartender and fun girl band. Then the last week end of the month, you have backtrack and strum and strummer. All right. Moving right along. Mapleside farms concerts over the Valley continue. Uh, this Friday is one of our favorites.

[00:12:44] The spasmatics, um, everything totally eighties. Uh, concert, uh, doors open at six concert starts at seven. Remember no outside food or drinks. Um, tickets are available, uh, on the website. Or you can also, what does it say here? Season pass holders. I don't know if it's still a good idea to do that, but you can check, do the math.

[00:13:12] Um, but concert is starts at seven again, doors open at gates open at six. Yeah. I think you can only buy tickets at the gate. Really? Cause there's interactive ticketing.com link right there. Oh, I might be wrong. I think that might be. No. I think that might be just for super pass. Oh, that's just for the pass. You're right. You're right. You're right. That's just for the pass. So tickets at the door. See? Not very often. I'm right.

[00:13:41] Good job. Speaking. Right. Amy's Arbors is doing a writers on the lawn Friday at 6 PM, uh, with Joe Riege and others. Uh, so you can bring your lawn chair, check them out. Uh, hosting a full evening of singer songwriter Nashville style rounds.

[00:14:12] Wow. They got quite a few people between six and nine there. Um, have you seen picture? It's like sitting in someone's backyard. Like it's sitting in someone's yard, just listening to music. That is so cool. So, um, check that out. That's going to be Friday from six to 10 at Amy's Arbors right across the border in Valley City. Yep.

[00:14:38] Uh, next up we have the 14th annual ride for life poker run. It is Saturday at 10 AM at the Brunswick VFW. So, uh, if you like poker runs, you can get the ticket for $15 for a single rider, $25 for a couple best poker hand wins $150 and the worst poker hand wins 25 dinner tickets are $10 and dinner is served at 5 PM.

[00:15:05] This year's stops are at Geno's 2.0 in Medina, American Legion, 703 in Parma. Uh, where. All right. Saturday starting at 10 o'clock. Can you hear me now? How's that? I can hear you now. Yep. Oh. Annual kickoff. Nope. Just go for it. Just go. All right. Just finish.

[00:15:30] This Saturday, the craft show and vendor fair over at Taster Summer, right on Pearl Road. Stop by and see all handmade items, produce, much more rain or shine. Admission is free. Let's see. I think it's too late for vendors to sign up so we don't need that part. But anyway, it starts at 10 o'clock. Something to do. Go on over. Do some shopping.

[00:15:58] Both produce and handmade items. Yeah. That's a fun event. Uh, last but not least, we have kids, dungeons and dragons over at gamers layer at the corner of Laurel and Pearl. Uh, whether you've never played before or already know your way around dungeons and dragons, all young adventurers are welcome. Sessions are family and beginner friendly and most importantly, fun.

[00:16:27] It's $5 per session. And it's every Saturday from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. So get out of the house and something to do. Again, no experiences necessary. And, uh, you'll be able to make new friends and embark on an epic adventure each week. It sounds like a good drop off too for mom and dad if they want to go on a date. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Could be. Yeah. All right. We leaped through that one.
